“You know, you’re the one who wanted to hang out today, we can go inside and drink these on the couch while watching a movie or something” You sniffed as you took another sip of your coffee. Looking up at the tall buildings and trees on the sidewalk that were strung up with red and green lights that made you smile. Felix almost never has time to hang out anymore, so on nights like these you cherish these small moments. Glancing over to the orange haired boy, you smiled as you saw his cheeks and nose were glowing red with the cold wind that carried snowflakes.
“Why are you staring at me?” Felix looked back at you while stuffing his face under his jacket to shield himself from the freezing winds.
“You’re cute” You said, your smile growing while witnessing his face grow even more red.
“Are you blushing?” You giggled out, bringing your long sleeves up to cover your mouth.
“No, I’m just cold....” Felix scoffed out. He turned around to face down the street, his eyes glazed over as he stared at the gigantic Christmas tree a few blocks away.
Sniffing once more, you made your way right next to Felix. You always knew how tall he was in relation to you, but his presence was always so comforting, just standing next to him put you to ease.
“Hey, wanna go over there and see it closer?” You didn’t give him any time to respond as you grabbed his bare hand with your gloved hand and walked at an easy pace towards the giant tree.
The walk took longer due to your caution on the slippery snow covered sidewalk, the road has not been shoveled yet, both yours and Felix’s boots made imprints in the pristine white snow.
“Woah” Felix let out in amazement, his eyes glimmered as he examined the ornament covered tree. He squeezed your hand and he continued to stare in awe at the tree.
Looking over at his face you couldn’t help yourself, you really couldn’t. Without thinking you stood on your tippy-toes and pecked him quickly on the cheek. His eyes widened as Felix let go of your hand and immediately placed it on his cheek.
“W-What was that for?” Felix stammered out, his eyes were downcast towards the ground to one pebble that apparently was the most interesting thing in the world.
“I dunno, you just looked cute...I couldn't help myself.” Felix’s eyes still remained down as a small smile grew on his face. He dropped his hand from his cheek and laced it between your fingers. Felix pulled you closer to him, the heat radiating off of his body comforted you. You rested your head on his shoulder as you both looked up to the shining tree in front, smiling from just the mere presence of each other.
