Josephine Press is selling a Sturges etching press.  Josephine Press has been in operation in Santa Monica since 1984 and has a long established reputation for selling and restoring printmaking presses.  Our master printer John Greco is skilled in the restoration and conditioning of presses. We’re asking $1,800 for it.

Sturges Etching presses have a solid history of performance and ease of use.

This press is located in Palms, CA in the LA metro area.  We can help with the transportation of the press within the LA County area for approximately $300 additional fee.  Otherwise, any transportation (such as skidding, forklifting, moving, disassembly, etc) is the responsibility of the buyer.  

The narrowest point of the frame is 33 inches (with handle attached), so it can be moved through normal doorways.  With the bed, the press is 48 inches in length

Shipping weight is approximately 400 pounds.

Good condition, has been stored and used only lightly since purchase

The drive is on the top roller.

The press has a 18 x 48" benelux bedplate and 4" solid steel upper roller. Lower roller 4” diameter.

This press has had a single owner and light use so it is in great condition.
