Another great video from the talented people at IDEO.org. This one is a little different stylistically compared to the previous example as this example utilizes more articulated animation. This video also has a little more of a comic or graphic novel style to it especially in the typography and the line strokes.

A quick little Adobe After Effects experiment using type and a few simple motion patterns to create a trailer for the book, Made to Stick by Chip and Dan Heath. If you haven’t read it already you should head to your local library or brick-n-mortar book store and pick it up.

I’m really inspired by the #MotionGraphics in Ava DuVernay’s thought provoking documentary, 13th, which you can find on Netflix. This trailer has multiple examples of successful moving typography. Specifically the rhythm/pacing from the XIII to the FREEDOM that turns into a flock of birds,  the public enemy section, and the metal bars section. Through out the video the designers took great care in crafting graphics and typography that fits the mood of the subject matter. The rhythm/pacing is also well thought out and executed. Elastic did a fantastic job on this.
