JORANDA BECKITANO IS CANON

Miranda and Jordan have officially been together for one whole year! And this is a special anniversary/100th post!

In honor of today, let's have story time! Time for a little true insight into Joranda Beckitano!

One day in September of 2011, Miranda, Alindseya and I were sitting outside in ACT Prep class. Of course we weren't doing our ACT Prep work at the time. Alindseya and I were probably working on English homework. Miranda was telling us about how the auditions for AVPM went. In a previous class, Miranda had told us about some hot guy who auditioned, but she didn't have the audition papers with her, so she didn't have a picture of him. This day, she remembered to bring them to show us this hot guy. His name was Jordan. Miranda told us all about how well he sang.

Not too long after this day, Miranda had a get-together at her house for everyone in the AVPM cast and crew. When I got there, Miranda pointed out this hot Jordan guy to me. Once everybody was at her house, we started watching AVPM in Miranda's living room. At one point, Miranda and I were both in the kitchen getting something to eat, and when we got back to the living room, we both just sat on the piano bench. It was far away form the TV, so it was difficult to see AVPM, but it allowed us to watch this hot Jordan guy without seeming creepy!

A few weeks later, Miranda tricked me into going to Zombie Prom, where she showed up with this hot Jordan guy as her date! How could she do such a thing?! HOW COULD SHE NOT TELL ME SHE WAS BRINGING HIM?! That was the night I created the ship name Joranda Beckitano!

I had to come up with some form of transportation for my new OTP. I made a list and sent it to Miranda, and she narrowed it down to Serenity, Shadowfax, and possibly Treebeard. We agreed we would come up with a way for Jordan to choose one.

October 21, 2011. That was the start of a great weekend. It was the day The Three Musketeers went to theaters, so Miranda and I planned to have a Logan Lerman day together. After school ended, we went over to the hamburger restaurant across the street from our school. We remembered that that night was Tumblr Prom. We had agreed to go with a friend of ours, but we still wanted Jordan to ask Miranda to go with him, so she reblogged a Tumblr prom post when she saw that he was on Tumblr. And, huzzah!, Jordan asked her! We fangirled. Right there in the middle of the restaurant. After the movie, we went back to her house and went to Tumblr prom while watching Supernatural.

The next day, a friend of ours had a House of Shock party. So, of course, Miranda invited Jordan! As we were all hanging out at the guy's house, Miranda and I agreed it was time to get Jordan to choose a transportation. I didn't want to come right out and be like "JORDAN I SHIP YOU WITH MIRANDA NOW HELP ME MAKE MY OTP PERFECT," so we tried to casually coax the conversation in a direction in which I could ask him about it. But any time we got the conversation onto our fandoms, one of ours friends would change the topic. We eventually had to tell her what we were doing so she would quit. So eventually, finally, I asked Jordan "If you could only use one form of transportation for the rest of your life, would you choose Serenity or Shadowfax? Or Treebeard, if that makes any difference?"

Jordan then asked "Well, if I was on Serenity, who would I be with? Would I have everybody from the show with me?" Of course, Miranda and I made eye contact and I was internally screaming YOU WOULD BE WITH MIRANDA, THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE. But I had to say in as calm a voice I could muster "You could be with whoever you wanted." And Jordan chose Serenity! That's how we got ontp Serenity, and I became Wash. Once we got to the House of Shock, THEY HELD HANDS! THEY. HELD. HANDS. IT WAS SO CUTE! I tried taking creeper pictures but it was too dark. But that's okay. The image is saved in my memory forever. Jordan slept over at Miranda's house that night, and that was the night he asked her out for texting and scones!

This past year has been a good one for Serenity. Jordan, Miranda, I hope you had a great anniversary today!
