here it is, friends, my piece for the jopper big bang (@jopperbigbang​)! get ready for some teenaged joyce and jim, because that’s one of my favorite parts of this ship - teenage them totally could have been canon.

my artist for this collab was the AMAZINGLY talented @callhimnowmarisamylove​, who drew this gorgeous cheesy-teen-flick-inspired poster for this fic. isn’t it so wonderful?!

AN: This is your fair warning! There is no standard happy-ending to this story and it can get kind of dark and weird sometimes. Yes, there is time travel and the plot gets a bit twisted so if you have any questions, please ask me about it as I may have glossed over something!

I’ll be honest, this fic kind of snuck up on me. I never intended it to be so dark when I first started planning it, but I’ve always enjoyed pretty much anything beautiful and sad, so I suppose it makes sense how this happened. I may or may not have plans to continue it in another fic (*evil grin*), but I will be diving back into my other series before I continue this one.

When Jim Hopper moves into a new house in a new town with his newly adopted telekinetic daughter, he expects that to be the strangest of his problems. But said house is already occupied - by the ghost of a woman who went missing several months prior. As he digs into the mystery of Joyce’s death he grows closer to both her and her two sons, left motherless in the charge of their deadbeat dad, who may well have been the cause of her death in the first place. But as he begins to fall for this woman who is quite literally out of reach deeper secrets come to light - and there may be more to her ‘death’ than anyone realises.

I can’t believe that I can finally share what I’ve been working on for the past four months. It was challenging at times, but I loved every second of it. I hope that you will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing this.
