women were not banging out spirk fanfiction in the 60s for you to be AI generating your fic
Seeing people I know and like using AI is making me understand the protagonists of those old time sci fi dystopia's.
"Oh I don't normally use AI, I just wanted it to plan my trip"
You lived on this planet for decades, you know what you like, there are hundreds of websites where you can type into any search engine " things to do in [area]" and have at least a hundred different options.
"Oh I only use it so I can figure out what to make during the week with what I have"
The most popular website as you type in "recipes" into google have sections where you click dinner- quick and easy and those usually rely on staples + 1 or 2 items. I found 30 recipes on chicken alone.
"I had a writing idea, so I typed a few sentences into Chat GPT and I was able to write 20 pages with it."

events of this morning have left me feeling evil and going on tiktok has only made it Worse (surprise) !!! it is becoming ABUNDANTLY clear to me that many women who claim to be feminists have never opened up a book on the subject in their lives. like you NEED to be reading, you NEED to learn about intersectionality and queer history and gender roles and how YOUR preferences in romantic/interpersonal relationships can feed into the patriarchy and cause real harm. you NEED to be willing to unlearn things and better yourself. itβs not enough to just call yourself a feminist because it feels good to be a part of something you need to actually participate. feminism is so much more than just YOUR lived experience.

if i read ONE MORE FIC STARTING WITH something about a rythmic bass, steady hearbeat, golden hues on the motherfucking window city lights humming some fucking where, deliberate anything or fics . written . like . a . telegraph. i'll jump from the nearest window and deactivate i don't know in what order BUT I'LL DO IT I SWEAR
*cools ur dashboard down*
Jin:Β *dangles hand off bed*
Taehyung, under the bed: *grabs hand*
Tae:Β this is nice :)
Jin: why the fuck are you under my bed?!
Genuine question. Im a writer who occasionally uses grammarly and like doc correct since its automatic on google docs. It doesnt alter my sentences in any way but ig it can be seen as a form of ai. Is that bad to use?
ooo omg i used grammarly for uni. i was overly dependent on the app thinking it would handle all the grammar and vocab.
eventually i learnt it was just making me lazy and unattentive. i wouldn't read through my answers and essays to check for grammar.
then i removed the extension and just depended on the google docs spell check, and i think im doing fine.
technically grammarly doesn't generate new ideas for you (i think? idk about now) so i guess it's not that big of a deal? still, if you're doing creative writing, i personally think it's best to just steer clear of any ai apps/tools.
grammarly just sucks the fun out of creative work.
when i was younger, i used to write michael jackson fics in my notebook and then copy every word on my phone or computer to post on wattpad. i'd love to revert back to that way but who has the time to do all thatttt
anywayyy, i think grammarly can only help you so much. from personal experience, i can attest to the concept of doing everything on your own and using good old google search to understand grammar. it's fairly easy that way too.
i feel there's no need for us to be this reliant on gen ai.
also also grammarly has been wrong quite often in my experience! i think when i was writing my first jungkook fic, lovefool, i had that grammarly extension on but never took any of its suggestions bec i found it unnecessary.
i don't know if i can clearly say if it's good or bad, but i def think it's not all that helpful. it's overrated!

ai could never outdo my beautiful perverted mutuals
I'm sorry but if you use AI photos as a banner/cover for your stories, I'm gonna assume you use it to write your stories too.
I just commented on a fanfic to remove a picture because it was clearly AI and girlie deleted my comment, crazyy.

So stupid when a piece of fiction impacts your identity. Like ok bitcj. It worked. Now what.
