All the thing

[Once more we find ourselves at the end, rounding out with Faith. What I believe in is all of you wonderful viewers who have taken time out of your lives to read my silly posts, and so I thank you from the bottom of my heart] <3

[Serafiend is of course inspired as a mishmash of angelic, demonic, and even bird like features, meant to represent the combined beliefs of all domains. Of course, each domain has their own respective believer~]

[First up we have the Priest, They/Them pronouns, believer in Heaven. Hands eternally bound in prayer with a rosery, the Priest gives constant praise towards the divine light above in awestruck devotion, eager to share the light with all who seek it.]

[Next, we have the Monk, They/Them pronouns, believer in Earth. The Monk spends their afterlife in meditation and reflection over the grand world around them, achieving enlightenment through the act of ignoring otherworldly temptations or brilliance and instead finding peace right where they are.]

[Next up is Teller and those who help them decipher what Fate has in store!]

[Teller is merely a conduit for the forces at be, so what better way to unravel fates currents then by asking directly?]

[First we have What It Has Been, keeper of the Past. He/Him pronouns, What Has Been keeps a constant and (mostly) running archive of everything that has led up to the current moment. Of course the past is insanely huge and he is incredibly old, so it may take a while to find anything you are looking for...]

[Next we have That What It is, reflection of the Present. Your pronouns, What it Is can show you a perfect capture at what is currently happening, unblemished by your own unconscious thoughts and biases. You may not always like what you see reflected back at you, but it is very often needed to be seen.

[Next up on our Scrybe introductions and underlings is Harmony and her band!]

[Melody's underlings are all invisible musicians who play along to the music within their hearts. Literally, that's all they're made of, just sound!]

[First up is the Conductor, It/It's pronouns, ready to lead the even more invisible orchestra into a grand symphony. Just don't miss a note, you may not like the discipline...]

[Next is the Star, It/It's pronouns, armed with a guitar definitely plugged into something and ready to shred! You are in for a crazy concert with the Star, and an even crazier afterparty if you can keep up!]

[All the scrybes have a group of underlings under them, and that is no different with my scrybes! Here in this series is me introducing all of them, starting with Chance!]

[We all know Lux, scrybe of Chance, but here is his family and head attendants at the Luxy casino!] [Starting off with the ace of hearts, Hearth! Hearth has He/They pronouns like his boss, and he is in charge of the card tables and security. He is both incredibly tall and strong, and cares about nothing more than ensuring the safety and success of Lux and the other attendants.]

[Next is the ace of diamonds, Desmond! They/Them pronouns, Desmond is in charge of other non card table games at the casino, such as roulette or craps. They are pretty shy and reserved, only really being close with the other members of the casino, they still try their best to perform their duties and keep the players happy. Even if they would rather be somewhere else.]

[I have been playing around with making something like a fan inscryption campaign act 2 style but with my scrybes, and in doing so I though up what would the various battle screen look like for them! So here they are, I really like how they came out~]

[First up we have my boy Lux. Obviously inspired by a card dealers table, with the green felt backing and card suite place markers, all accented by his signature black and red checkerboard. Gotta keep things on brand!]

[Next we have Melodys board. Something elegant and classy, being a roll of sheet music, as if your duel is nothing but the next symphony to be written and performed before the masses. With her cards, it will certainly sound like one!]

[Next up is Tellers board, simple eye place markers over a sprawling night sky, ripe for observing to track the constellations and make predictions on future star patterns. Even things far away can have an impact on your future.]

"We all believe in something, and the purer the belief the more powerful you are. For better or worse, whose to say~?"

[This is Seraphiend! They go by They/All pronouns and are the scrybe of Faith. Whenever someone prays/hopes in a belief with a strong enough conviction, Their halos glow and a new card is produced from the essence of the belief. Faith cards have three suites: Heavenly, Earthly, and Hellish. All the cards are based on creatures from one of these three places and the belief systems attached to them, so things like Angels, Spirits, and Demons from each suite respectively.] [Much like Beast, Faith cards need to be played with a sacrifice of another card already on the board. However, unlike beast, when any card dies (in ways other than sacrifice) they create a prayer token of their respective suite, which can be saved like bones to be played at a later time for cards of the same suite for a 2-1 exchange.]

[The side deck cards, Faithful Believers, generate two blank prayer tokens on death, even when sacrificed.]

"Tell me, what is a more comforting idea: Salvation for yourself and loved ones, or damnation for those who have wronged you and others? I find you can learn a lot about someone based on their beliefs~"

[Lux and company enjoy Seraphiends presence. They have an almost infectious love about the world around them and are in almost constant awe about the incredible things that make it work, and often make everyone reconsider how truly extraordinary even the most common and mundane things are. Seraphiend doesn't end up at the casino often, they are usually very busy attending their temple and all those who come for guidance, but occasionally they are drawn by the strong, deeply held convictions of the gamblers inside who emphatically believe that this is the round where everything turns around and they make it big! They often do not, but that doesn't change the strength of their convictions.]

"In a way, a casino is like a church dedicated to Lady Luck. There certainly is enough attendants praying and calling out for their deities blessing to qualify~"

"What pure belief in things changing and going their way, it's beautiful to watch that conviction be rewarded!" "..." "Well, it's also wonderful to see that hope crushed and result in even more desperate, unfulfilled prayer~"

"Life is a strange, thing, moving from one event to the next. While the winds of chance carry us through unpredictable pathways, things still end up down a certain path. The only question is, is it the path you have chosen?"

"Greetings. I am excited for what the future has in store for us all."

[This is Teller, scrybe of Fate! Teller goes by They/Them pronouns, and are obviously based around fortune telling and tarot! These are some of my favorite cards i have made for this thing, so I am happy to share with yall. They inscribe cards with their crystal ball they see the future in, bringing it into reality.] [Their cards are a little unique, as unlike other scrybes, Fate cards do not have a cost. Instead, they are played face down as a 1/2 and only reveal themselves either on death (where they carry over all damage taken while face down) or when enough turns equal to the cards fate counter have passed (in which case the card does not carry over damage from being face down). the side deck card, Fortunes Chosen, reduces the fate count of all cards on your side of the board by 1 when it dies. To prevent playing your whole hand in one turn, you can only play one non side deck card a turn.]

[The cards are of course based on tarot cards, and can be drawn either as normal or upside down, swapping the health and damage of the card. adds a little more unpredictability when planning a deck, focusing more on sigils or effects than with raw numbers.] [Teller is very calm and quiet, often spending their time in quiet meditation or contemplating the future. They are not actually clairvoyant themselves, relying on tools and omens to read about what may come, but they have a really good track record of seeing how things will unfold and what lies ahead. The future is not set in stone, and every action we take is part of that equation.]

"An ever changing stream will always flow down river, however you control the sail of the ship floating down that path."

[Teller is fond of Lux, while the man is quite eccentric and much louder than they usually try to bee on their own, the unique actions and random consequences are something that Teller can find amusement in, even if they usually prefer to have a better idea of what will happen. Lux, almost paradoxically, enjoys playing games with teller as trying to bet randomly against preordained fate is uniquely fun and special when defying the odds.

Remember when I posted that pic of Melody and said I would post the rest of my scrybe ocs? Well i forgot! Only one way to rectify such a mistake, by doing so now! Here is a sneak peak on what you can expect~!

Hello again! I have drawn up the side deck card and some explanations of a few of the new sigils that chance cards can have. Hope you enjoy.

First we have the side deck cards, the Di Guy. The Di Guy is an exercise in random usefulness. It always cost one luck point, so you will always be able to play something on your turn, even if you roll low, but its usefulness is decided by chance. It has a random health value (1-6) every time you draw it, and a random sigil. What will you draw? A beefy blocker? Resource cards? Free mox? Or will fate be stacked against you and you end up with something worthless.

“The lowly Di Guy. I wonder how lucky you will get?”

Rolled Vitality. Seen above in the Di Guy, Rolled Vitality gives your card a random (1-6) health value. Rolling high or low can change the fate of played cards, adding the high reward of a rolled six, or the weakness of a rolled 1.

“Gambling is my life, so why shouldn’t it be the same for your cards?”

Rolled Strength. The inverse of Rolled Vitality, Rolled Strength imbues your cards with a random (1-6) attack value. And just like it’s counterpart, this makes the fate of your cards ever changing. Do you make it big with high attack, or do you get another card to do a few damage?

“Why not subject more to the fates of chance? Especially something so important.”

And finally, Rolled Cost. The final part of the rolled trio, Rolled Cost makes your cards have a random (1-6)  luck point cost. Will you get a very strong card that only cost a few luck, or do you get a weaker cost card you are just waiting to play when you roll high enough.

“Should the value of things really be decided by chance? Of course it should!”

I meme... It would be really good if he could find some considering the whole starving thing right now...
