Best thing I’ve learned.
There’s no monopoly or consensus on what’s interesting. If you’re really into something, don’t let people tell you it’s boring. Those people are either implying that there’s rationing of what’s interesting, or they’re hitting out at you because you know something they don’t. They are wrong.
You also don’t need to know everything. You can know a little about many things. People who judge you for not knowing everything are not marking your work, so forget them. They’d rather show you how smart they are, than have a fun conversation with you.
So, if you’re really into hair dye, or collecting pictures of birds, or playing guitar just for yourself, or whatever it is - you’re cool. Don’t worry about it.
