Halloween - by Jo Howell
As the sun sets,
You hide your skin under face paint
And costumes,
Excitement bubbling in your chest.
You wander out into the dark
Surrounded by friends
To discover which treats you’ll find this year.
But as the sun sets,
I have no where to hide
Because my biggest monsters live inside my head.
Everytime I close my eyes
My thoughts wander through the dark,
Alone,
To discover which nightmare I will have tonight.
