Okay hear me out
BE is going to be the ABS of LHRPG. Yes. You heard it here first! Detailed explanation: https://www.tumblr.com/johnnycryttm/817546743709401088/fp-and-abs
Alright all To the Moon fans
We have half a year left before the series closes with LHRPG. How do you plan to spend that time? Fanarting? Fanficcing? Replaying the games? Perhaps something else? Let me know!
also hey, why there will be a demo? there's never been a demo before. what does this mean freebird games
I have my...theories. I hope it'll be a demo of a Quintessence remake. That game has been waiting for closure for nearly 16 years now! 😭
there's only one way out..

BTW, regarding The Last Hour of an Epic To the Moon RPG (and yes, that is its full name)
As its release is decently soon, we all need to figure out a good tag for it. It's hard to find content for it otherwise. What do you all propose?
in light of the last game trailer
Really should've gone ahead and asked Lynri this. 😆
Theory about LHRPG based on trailer info (and misc. stuff)
So, first off, it's clear that LHRPG is going to cover the time periods before and after BE. This is pretty obvious with the shot of Eva and Neil talking to each other at a diner, a clear reference to Sunset; the shot of Eva meeting a terminally ill Neil in hospital, and the shot of Eva, Rob and Roxie all competing in a surfboard race, a clear reference to BE itself. What's a little less clear is what the RPG, which is likely a game in Neil's sim itself, is about. However, I feel like there are enough clues to derive this. To start with, we see Faye taunting Eva through messages to finish the game at the end of the trailer. This makes it quite clear that it was one of either the core Neil or Faye who made this. Given that core Neil was worried about Eva's mental health and was trying to get her to spend more time taking care of herself, Faye herself makes the most sense.
But why would Faye make this game, and how does she have the power to do so? Wasn't she trying to help core Neil last we saw her in BE? Welll...
Per my thesis here, this game features two Fayes - a good Faye who works to help the doctors, and an evil Faye who corrupts the protagonists of the franchise (which is why the doctors are fighting them). It's clearly this evil Faye who devised the RPG and is taunting Eva for being unable to beat her, and the key to her salvation likely lies in beating her somehow. But how did Faye split? Well, I think she always had both a good and evil side to her, and always tended to the evil side outside of Colin's presence. It's possible that she didn't like core Neil trying to push Eva out of the sim and wanted to keep Eva out as her playtoy. That, or maybe she got bored when Eva started showing signs of using the sim less and started conniving schemes to pull her in. Also, this is a bit of a wild shot, but the final scene of Faye texting Eva happens in reality, not in the sim. We don't see that scene glitching out, and the machine does have the capability to contact phones, so it's quite likely the entirety of it played out in reality. Especially since it shares the same artstyle as the scenes of "reality" in BE. Alright, that's enough yapping. Time to continue working on the wiki. In the meantime, have a parting screenshot from the RPG.
Everyone wake up, new To the Moon trailer dropped ! Perfect time to show off the art I forgot to post before :
I'm excited for the new game so you get hype Neil too :

Eva: This is beautiful, Neil. So? I know you have something to talk about. Spit it out.
Neil launches into a 10-minute nonstop romantic monologue until Eva finally pinches his cheek.
Neil: Ow, ow, OW! Okay, okay! I’ll talk! I’ll talk! Just let my face live!
Neil’s expression shifts from playful happiness to a grave seriousness.
Neil: Do you remember when we worked with Skinner… when it felt like we were assassins for the FBI?
Eva: Yeah. I asked you once, "You have regrets, right?" So? Did you?
Neil: At first, I did. I regretted everything. But now… I don’t. Not anymore. Because my illness is gone. Punch and her father finally found a cure—and they saved people who were suffering from the same illness I had.
Eva: Uh-huh.
Neil: You know… this place. My grandfather used to bring Mom here. Did you know she was just like me?
Eva: Your illness. I know.
Neil: No. I mean… she was a little cold. A little distant. She chose to be an introvert, a person who didn’t really have any friends. Even so… even with all that, she was braver than I’ve ever been. She still let herself fall in love with my dad. She held love in her hands—in all its beautiful, terrible wholeness—and she still chose it. That’s something I’ve never been able to do.
Eva: Neil…
Neil: So… I’m doing it now.
Eva: Doing… what?
Neil: Choosing. Even though I’m terrified. Even though I don’t know how this ends.
Eva looks at him, the noise of the world around them fading into a dull hush. The wind brushes past, carrying the faint scent of lavender and old memories.
Neil: I’ve spent my whole life running from that. Keeping people at a distance. Smiling, joking, pretending I was fine… when really, I was just afraid. Afraid to need anyone. Afraid to let anyone see how much I hurt. But you… you stayed. Even when I pushed you away. Even when I tried to make it easier for you to leave. I don’t know how much time I really have. None of us do. But I know this: I don’t want to leave this world without ever having chosen love. Not really. Not fully. So I’m choosing it. I’m choosing you. With all the mess, all the risk, all the ways this could end badly… I’m still choosing you.
Eva’s throat tightens, tears stinging at the corners of her eyes. The air between them feels heavy, charged, like the moment right before a storm breaks.
Eva: You idiot… Is this supposed to be some kind of proposal?
Neil: What? No! This is a highly sophisticated, FDA‑unapproved, side‑effect‑ridden love confession.
Eva: Side effects?
Neil: Chronic hand‑holding, random forehead kisses, severe dependence on your cooking. Also, a 99.9% chance of me being extremely annoying for the rest of your life.
Eva: The rest of my life, huh?
Neil: Yeah. So, purely for medical research purposes… would you, uh, maybe consider signing up to be my lifelong test subject?
Eva: Uh-huh.
Neil: 😫I’m a scientist, Eva! This is as romantic as my lab brain gets!
Eva: …You’re lucky I like nerds.
Neil: So that’s a yes?
Eva: Before I change my mind, Neil.
Neil: Yes!
Eva: Before we go on our adventure, we don’t know what’s waiting for us out there. All these supernatural things could kill people like us. But what I was going to say is… when we retire, and we finally have our own garden… let’s plant some lavender. When the world is peaceful or the end of the world, at least we can have our own little field.
Neil: Yeah... I really like that. Let’s go hunt some aliens!
Eva: Yeah! Peter, Punch, and Mulder have probably been waiting on our dumb asses forever.
Neil: Your nerd.
Eva: Unfortunately, yeah. You’re such a nerd.
What's gonna happen in the RPG 😭 😭
LHRPG Trailer releasing tomorrow

LHRPG Stuffs
I'm just gonna write some my assumptions and thoughts about LHRPG here
I'll keep adding things when new thoughts come to mind
-----------------------------------------------
Well, this is records of me searching the steam page :)
Well, I'll describe it more later, but it seems like there are 4 elements in the game. Fire(red), water(blue), earth(yellow), and air(green). This is my assumption
: Rob -> fire, Eva -> earth, Roxie -> water, Neil -> air.
We saw that there is a eastern dragon ( 龍 ) in Rob's MP UI and Eva wears a helmet which has earth element bonus. It seems like the dungeons are related to the characters in it ( You can see that in the next screenshot too. ) and there are lots of water, besides, beluga whale always smiles and it has high communication abilities so it is promising to think water as Roxie, I guess. Automatically, Neil takes wind, an owl.
But there is no air in the picture...The others have been activated, but there are 4 diamonds of elements instead of something stands for air, and it's not even activated. I dunno how it works and who activated others, but still it's sus.
And my cute Neil is here, in a old metallic basement. If you watched Kan's video about LHRPG, you would know that Neil's character design is based on a mechanic stuff, like a robot. so I think the dungeon could be related to him, anyway.
Also we should remember his mom, ya' know?
My beloved FP finally came. It seems like they're inside of an instrument, such as the piano. And the designs of Colin and Sofia are really cool but i'll talk about them later. I wanna focus on the icons. I guess the shimmering stars are the skills, the sword is basic attack, two arms are collaboration attack, and the book is... items. ( Tbh it doesn't that match... I should think about it more. )
+ What's that circle behind Neil...?
It was quite surprising for me that she has pretty high Def level ( It's second place ). There is Rudog behind the screen, and I assume there are only Eva and Roxie. Hmm... interesting.
And do you see the unique shape next to the SYSTEM? It seems like hands of a clock.
Ohh crying Neil is cute. Anyway, I think it's right after he got back to his allies from the dungeon with cubes. Well, the birds and trees remind me of Faye. It seems like that she also uses an earth element in Kan's video and social media. So there could be close to the top of the tower.
The funny thing is that the freaking olive inflicts poisoned on its USER. And there are many other olives with different colors..........
There are equipments of Neil and Roxie ( also a gun ), and they might be fighting with Faye behind the scene since it's like the top. As there is no equipment of Eva or Rob, so unequipped things might go to Items...
This is the sketch of the title menu of the game, I guess. It's like someone ( which is likely to be Faye ) is stealing the moon, isn't it?
Then it makes me wonder why she is stealing the moon, and what would happen if she succeeds? What would happen to Sigcorp members after taking the moon back? Is that the ending? ( NO, I DON'T BELIEVE KAN. )
Booyah, I will keep adding things that come to mind.
Time to redo this, I think. 😆
Eva really loves her garden) Yellow suits her, by the way
Very pretty. 😍

the whole sigcorp franchise is about grief -- life, death, grief, and moving on. but i really appreciate how each game handles the topic differently and paints a new perspective of it via the characters in focus:
in to the moon, johnny struggles to cope with a loss and a sense of guilt he can't rationalize. the game asks if it's fair for johnny to be happy if his happiness outweighs the real memories and consequences of the life he lived... but ultimately, it's not up for the doctors (or us) to decide -- johnny's love for river was real, and that mattered to him more than anything else deep down. nothing could change that fact, and he subconsciously held onto it, even as the fabric of reality broke down around him.
in finding paradise, colin struggles to accept his own life coming to an end despite having little to no regrets, and uses fantasy as an excuse to justify his dissatisfaction. the game asks if there's any clear difference between "real" memories and "the fiction we tell ourselves"... but when so much of our lives is fueled by a natural fear of death and loneliness, the distinction barely matters. every moment can be meaningful if you just want it to be, even if it's in retrospect. even the little things.
in impostor factory, lynri struggles with seeing worth in her own life, yet simultaneously does everything she can to leave a lasting mark on the world -- while quincy struggles to be her anchor, as he becomes increasingly aware that they can't live a normal life together. the game asks if lynri has the right to be selfish and pursue her goals at the expense of any chance at happiness with quincy, or if quincy has the right to be selfish and keep lynri grounded if that just seals her fate... but there's no correct answer to that. life is too complicated for there to be a singular, perfect thread of choices. sometimes pain is unavoidable, so all you can do is make the most of what you have while it still lasts.
and every time, these dilemmas are directly mirrored through eva and neil. it always circles back to the hypocritical nature of what sigcorp does, to eva putting on a strong face and trying to see these issues in black and white to protect herself, to neil genuinely believing in the value of his work but failing to take his own advice.
i think the beach episode was the perfect conclusion to all of this. we don't know how eva's gonna carry on now... but we have to imagine that she is. we have to hold onto that hope, for her sake and for our own. we, the audience, have to accept this as the end of the series, and believe that the moment we press the escape key, eva accepts it as well.
these fictional people's lives meant something to us. and if there was hope for them, there's hope for us, too.
Though, I will add that BE is not *meant* to be the ending in its "ideal" form - Kan has outright said that he thinks BE and LHRPG should be one game, and BE, without LHRPG's context, feels mean and rather hollow. Good post regardless!
Also, tbh, I think Colin's regret was that the company stirred his hyperimaginative brain into thinking that his life with his family was unfulfilling because it was "imperfect", despite the imperfections being tiny, insubstantial things. The "cure" to it was for him to realize that, which happened when the doctors tried to remove Faye, making her realize that their presence was the problem. Which, in turn, got her to explain it to Watts, who, after realizing it, then transferred control to Faye so she could "cleanly" remove SigCorp's existence from his mind. The lesson to be derived there was clearly not to get lost chasing perfection, but to accept life for what it bestows to you. And this is a theme reinforced throughout the game. The whole bit about memories being big lies we tell ourselves is mostly to show that that was what Colin was doing the whole time - lying about his life to himself because SigCorp promised him something better.
