This Porsche Spyder Hybrid paused outside my studio yesterday and I ran out and snapped it wiht my iPhone. Apparently it has something like 800 horse power...I WANT one!

Photographs of complex and intricate abstract light patterns can be used to illustrate concepts around science, technology and research. I create the images using long exposures combine with camera movement of city lights at night, then use Photoshop to combine and further manipulate the captures. Speed, motion and energy are just of few of the ideas that can be communicated with these striking pictures.

A giant mountain of garbage rises above the clouds in a photo addressing waste management, recycling and environmental issues.

A woman in a tattered business suit, standing in a vast field of dry, cracked earth pulls the field back exposing a rive of water flowing beneath.

I photographed this bear at the zoo using my Canon 100-400 zoom lens. For me this becomes a conceptual stock photo about the dangers and risks of investment in the financial world. The bear is intense and looking straight into our eyes, and the fact that his body extends beyond the frame in all directions adds to the feeling of size and power.

An angry audience throws fruits and vegetables at a speaker or presenter in this humorous parody of the perils of public speaking. To create this image I hired a theater in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and about thirty models. I used Photoshop to place the produce in the air. The most difficult part was to get the audience when they weren't laughing!

Mystery, self-exploration and inner beauty are just some of the concepts illustrated by this photo of a woman, silhouetted against a sunrise, and filled with a star field.

"I enjoy our little talks" is the caption in a Birthday Greeting card made with this image of a cat on a psychiatrist's couch pouring out her life to a dog sitting with his legs crossed  and holding a pen and pad of paper. This funny dog and cat photo was created using Photoshop.

Little Red Riding Hood has a secret admirer keeping an eye on her! The Big Bad Wolf hides behind a tree and watches her walk through the dark forest on her way to grandmother's house. I created this picture as a stock photo to illustrate concepts such as danger, risk, and challenge.

A tiger lurking in the jungle peers menacingly out from beneath the tropical foliage in a stock image about danger and risk. Of course, the tiger was photographed in a Thailand zoo and the foliage photographed in San Diego...oh well....

Disco Dog! A funny Chihuahua spins the disc while wearing a headset and a gold chain in a disco dancing club complete with disco balls and colored lights in a humorous image originally created for a birthday greeting card. This image is also available as a stock photo.

This picture of a clever kitty draped across a copy machine gives new meaning to the term copy cat! The image was created for Marion Heath Greetings as a humorous birthday greeting card, but is also available as a stock photo as well.

Great road photo for the new year...a year full of promise and opportunity! This road holds the promise of freedom, adventure and journeys. It is the way forward to a brighter future. This road represents travel, vacations, and getting away from it all. Not surprisingly, I shot the road on a "road trip" through the Southwest...I think this was in Arizona. The sky, however, was photographed in Colorado.

Imagine having a complaint, approaching the customer service counter, and waiting there is an angry lion! That service bell on the counter next to his huge paw...are you going to ring that? Having a pissed-off lion in charge of customer service might solve at least some problems, like returns....

This gnarly enter twined tangle of roots and branches has created a portal to a lost world. Well, not really lost, rather in Hawaii where I photographed the parts for this gateway image. I created this as a concept stock photo for illustrating themes such as adventure and mystery, science fiction needs and uses such as book covers.

This tall ship in rough seas is a metaphor for courage and perseverance in the face of challenge, adversity and risk. It can also be an illustration for journeys and adventure.
