I watched the movie only knowing the general concept, in order to avoid spoilers. (I hadn’t read the original book, either.) I was surprised by how obvious the LGBT aspect was; I was expecting it to be clad in metaphors etc.

It was also much more depressing than I thought it was going to be. I was expecting 90 minutes of euphoria, but what I got was 90 minutes of Euphoria (2019 TV series).
