I actually had been looking forward to seeing WWE and Endeavor executives testify in a trial challenging the wrestling empire's $21 billion merger with UFC, but a last-minute settlement stopped the testimony before it could begin. The terms of the settlement haven't yet been released.

Thousands of pages of depositions, text conversations, and other documents unsealed before trial offered a window into how the deal came together. A judge, however, found there was evidence missing -- records showed Vince McMahon and WWE leaders intentionally changed their Signal auto-delete settings.

If anyone wants to know what radicalized me, it's the prices libraries have to pay for ebooks and audiobooks. There must be a better, more equitable way. I want my elected officials working on this yesterday.

What makes the Delaware Court of Chancery unique

Tucker the goldendoodle isn't the only one caught in a bad breakup in Delaware. A major player for shareholders in the corporate law arena had a messy split with a partner who took a bunch of colleagues with him to start a new law firm. That breakup comes amid uncertainty over whether the past year's overhaul of Delaware corporate laws will have a chilling effect on shareholder lawsuits.

Important Delaware Chancery Court development: a private auction has been ordered for Tucker the goldendoodle

Delaware recently changed its corporate laws to make them more favorable to companies being sued by their shareholders and the mega-firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz was deeply involved in that process.

It was going to be Delaware Chancery Court's Super Bowl - a Caremark claims trial! These claims never get this far, the prospect of of exploring oversight liability was very exciting. The case didn't involve SB21 and the recent DExit drama, but the trial totally was about DExit in many ways.

Then, on the second day of trial, breaking news! A settlement that abruptly stopped the trial, releasing the judge from having to make a decision that potentially earns her more criticism for allegedly pushing companies out of Delaware.

The terms of the settlement weren't immediately disclosed, but for now, we're left wondering about what could have been in a real Caremark trial. Maybe next time, Chancery Court nerds.
