I’ve had Lady Gaga’s song stuck in my head all day.

When Tim Burton put out that sad excuse for a Willy Wonka movie, I felt like maybe Gene Wilder had been forgotten, underrated and pushed aside. Monday told me otherwise. I've loved him as far back as I can remember and so, while I'm sad to say goodbye, I take solace in the out pouring of love I've seen all over the place, even from places I'd never expect. Anyway, I did this sketch today at work; from one of the greatest films of all time. RIP Gene Wilder :(

It's been a while since I posted any sketches or paintings. Partly this is due to the fact that I recently moved and partly due to my day job. Despite all that, like what seems like the rest of the world, I did find the time to watch and fall in love with Netflix's Stranger Things. Hopefully I'll find more time and motivation to draw. I definitely need the meditative benefits that can come from it....

Over Memorial Day Weekend, I took a little time for myself and did some experimenting with some watercolor tools and techniques. Played with some masking fluid to retain the paper on certain parts of the face and then, obviously, played with some dripping techniques for the hair. Hope I can find time to do more of this!

If you know me, you know I adore Larry David. If you know me really well, you know that I started doing a portrait of Larry David MONTHS ago. In fact, I completed a completely different portrait of him that I never shared. I just wasn't happy with it. So, I did another and here it is. FINALLY.

I think it's pretty, pretty..... pretty good. 

2016 is not my favorite. RIP Prince. :(
