Ignoring EVERYTHING Donald trump has said about the process, request your absentee ballot now! An absentee request form can be picked up at your local board of elections, or you can have one mailed directly to you (if you are a registered voter). Due to covid, many states are waving a requirement to vote absentee in this election, and most have already sent out these request forms to every registered voter in the state. If you live in a state which has not sent out absentee request forms, you will need to request an absentee ballot. Cutoff times and deadlines vary by state to state, so make sure to check!!! After sending in a request form, you will recieve your actual ballot in the mail. Once you have received your ballot, fill it out and take it to your local board elections IN PERSON or mail it in AT LEAST THREE WEEKS BEFORE ELECTION DAY (Nov. 3rd, 2020). The United States postal service has already said they might not be able to process the expected increase in absentee ballots this year, and many states do not count absentee/mail-in ballots that arrive AFTER Election Day. So it’s very important to mail in or drop it off your ballot in person, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. The sooner the better!!!
