Dear diary...

Creative Ray Charles lyrics, just because it’s fun to do. My teacher told me displaying fun in your work is important and I agree. Never forget to have fun with your work, it makes it sooo much easier.

During this project i found myself listening to a lot of Ray Charles songs. Because I enjoy his music so much, I needed to create a post dedicated to it. 

Inspired by the work of Marinetti a futurism artist, I tried to recreate a landscape with words and letters. 

For some reason Tumbler displays my images differently than i intended. Fortunately, when you click the image it’s displayed the right way. 

With the help of a tutorial I managed to create a galaxy (plus planet) from scratch. This was a very cool experience and I learned a lot about Photoshop and its endless possibilities. 

In Photoshop I tried to create a funky image by combining 4 elementarism images. 

For this project I do some research into the history of dutch graphic design. I ran into this illustration (2nd picture) and i had to recreate it with modern tools. I used illustrator to create the first picture. With a lot of gradient layers and the  inner glow function I tried to create depth. 

Practicing with texture, shadows and depth. Besides those things, I tried to comically illustrate our guest cat. 

I collected some inspiration in a moodboard. I hope to work with these styles within this project

I got to practise different photoshop techniques to colorfy a black and white photo. I’m recreating a Johnny Cash poster (walk the line) and this was the first step. 

My head is full with wireframes after this week. At my internship i got to redesign a big part of the new app and the website. This requires me to practise my wireframe skills. Unfortunately i’m not able to show the real deal so i created this image.
