Honestly, I’m always embarrassed to post my writing and don’t tend to reread my own work after it’s out. Sometimes it seems really cringe-y and I notice English mistakes and just…ughhh, you know?

I really like that the Future Arc is set in an alternate timeline. Even in another life, Xanxus and Squalo spend it together, right? Whether they’re being hunted down or living by their own terms.

Whenever I get a comment on Ao3 like “I am an old fan, and haven’t read KHR fan fiction in many years, so I’m happy to see people still writing,” it makes me so emotional! Wow, I had no idea so many people would come back for nostalgia and find my fan fiction of all things.

Everyone wants either XS that's extreme hatred violence chainsaw tornado 2000 or XS that's in desperate love married with Bester as the family cat. The error here is thinking they're mutually exclusive categories.

Xanxus’ TYL assertion that “the strongest survive” sounds like an edgy throwaway line, but it’s evidence of his development from the previous arc. Likewise, Rasiel is a very intentional opponent for Xanxus to have. The last we see of Xanxus in the Varia Arc, he’s screaming about his blood and being Vongola X. Rasiel is obsessed with being the rightful heir and “pure-blooded,” and Xanxus easily defeating him is an illustration of how little blood means now. He even calls himself a mixed-breed, having no issue with it. This battle is very on-the-nose, right? “The strongest survive,” not meaning the best bloodline or the most powerful last name, but the strongest.

There comes a time in every KHR fic writer’s life when they must consider the Ten Year Bazooka and if it’s worth it to touch a 21 year old fandom specific trope like that. We’ll see lol
