Amazing website of which the Netflix documentary is part, with amazing images that I can definitely use for my project. 

Good film to watch, it is mostly focussed on the human rights part of the industry but it also shows some parts of the health effects on the human and world.

Some images that were the first try outs to show the future of colour. What colors will be available in the future and what would be the monetary system around it? What would it mean to shop not only on the material and the people who made it but also on the color the fabric has? 

Amazing project that has been an inspiration when looking into the waste streams around me. It was also a starting point for me to see if it would be possible to create a paint from the waste streams of the sewage plant.

Inspiring Ted Talk about alternatives to chemical dye. 

This is to show that good pictures can make so much of the project. The portraits add an extra layer to the story that they want to tell.

In the beginning of the semester I visited a mill that is the only one left that is making dyestuff and the miller was really interested in my project and he was telling me about this project that had been done earlier at their mill and I think it is a interesting project. 

Inspiring project from Atelier NL, I really like their work. The visual storytelling they do is an inspiration for my own projects. 

A good website for information on the traditional pigments and their origin. Super interesting to read these stories.

This is the Uralkali Potash Mine #2 in Berezniki, Russia. It is one of the places that they mine for raw material. It is a beautiful picture but that also means that we will lose these beautiful places if we keep mining. It is a difficult balance I need to find in depicting these beautiful places without it just being a nice picture.
