I mentioned in my last post that I am working on some new wood toys, so I thought I would share the first prototype with you. I have some more details to work out, but I am overall pretty happy with it! The plan is to use simple/similar forms and make several different figures out of them, using this technique. I actually wanted to make blind box figures with these, haha. Eventually I am going to be putting a limited number of these up for sale though. This project was born of a few different things, and I am quite happy with it.... I wanted to find a way to mix my sculpture/woodworking art with my digital and illustrative art. This is that baby :). I will be posting more in-progress shots on my Ko-Fi page (link in the Bio), if you would like to follow along. More projects are stirring in my brain too.... I'll get to them as I can. _ In other news, if you follow me on Instagram regularly, you may have noticed a while ago that I am slowing down with my posts. Well, I seem to have come upon some rough physical/mental health times. I don't know how transparent I want to be with this, but it has been hard. Part of me wants to open up, but the other part of me is pretty private about this stuff. Sometimes things come in life that scare you pretty bad though. This means that I am not taking any commissions, and I am basically only doing art that I can handle, and stuff that I want to do. It stinks for money though.... that has taken a dive.
