I wish that byler playing baseball was in character bc I really love the idea of them being a pitcher/catcher duo. I was a softball pitcher basically my entire life and my best friend/crush was a catcher and the buzz is actually unreal because we would always be separated from the rest of the team for pitching practice and it would just be the two of us in a bullpen and everyone knew she was MY catcher, no one else was allowed to have her. There’s a trust between a pitcher and catcher that I’ve never felt since. I trusted her to frame my shitty pitches into strikes, and she trusted me to hit the spots she called for.
