When Jiah attends a Christmas party to accompany her grandpa and it doesn't turn out as well as it should aka a little conflict in Jiah's life never hurt anyone.
"I'm telling you, mom, I was not at fault this time, I was proper and sweet. It was Christmas dinner, after all," Jiah says exasperated. She has been cleaning the house the whole evening since the event of the end of the year would keep her busy enough so she wouldn't be able to organize everything for the new year. At some point, talking to herself and listening to music wasn't enough to keep boredom far from her. Luckily enough, her mom called in not too long ago (it has been half an hour already).
"All I said is that he shouldn't be drinking as much as he was because the night was young and he was downing those bottles like they were water." Jiah hears her mother clicking her tongue more than seeing it through the video call. Her parents were in a hotel room, probably in their third stop already on their holiday trip. "You know how old men are, Jiah. Not even you like when you're bossed around about drinks. What made you think he's listen to you and your good intent?," to which Jiah rolls her eyes and waves her hand. "I'm young, and I can hold my licor just fine. But anyway, at the end of it, he started a little tantrum about how a guest shouldn't tell him what he could and couldn't do and not even five minutes later, he passed out. Grandpa was pissed, but I don't know if it was because someone scolded his granddaughter or because I made his friend look stupid," Jiah sighed. She couldn't care less about the old man, but the thought of her grandpa being upset because of her bothered her.
"Haven't you talked to your old man since then?" Her mom asks, perching up even if slightly, "that's not like you. You and your grandpa are a lot a like. I don't think you've ever had a misunderstanding without solving it in the next 15 minutes," and this time, Jiah was the one clicking her tongue and sighing. "We didn't have a chance. He took his friend away, and when he came back he didn't say anything. And I left early because I had to work the next day," Jiah's mom raises an eyebrow and she can feel the judgement even from the screen, "Moon Jiah, I didn't raise you a conflict avoider. What is this?" she didn't sound actually upset. Just very surprised. "It's almost new year, Jiah, what do we not do during the new year?" she pauses expecting Jiah to complete what she has been doutrinated since young, "We don't take pending issues to the new year, I know, I know, mom."
For Jiah's season's greetings, she decided to go with two concepts: a bright and bubbly one, and a clean and chic one. She wanted to play with the duality of being someone who's very high energy and very extroverted, but also show off that she's very much capable of pulling of sexier or more formal concepts as well.
The name of the project is breath of;fresh air. Since this is the first year she's starting as a new artist, she wants to be able to show an image of someone who's versatile and stay true to her intentions.
For the photoshoots, Jiah's more colourful one is full of bright and contrasting colours like pink and yellow, and oranges and greens. It's not muted in anyway. It's supposed to be loud and right at your face but not feel like too overwhelming. It's supposed to be bubbly and fresh and young. They put her hair in fun buns with a few strands loose, and also put stickers on her face like freckles, and some in her hands and arms as well.
For the more clean version, Jiah wears more clean outfits in either full white or beige. There's nothing to distract anyone because the focus is herself and her face and body. They give her a no-make up make up look, don't do a whole lot with her hair, just straightened it down, and it feels a lot more like an usual photoshoot someone would take for a cosmetic brand.
Jiah also picks the key chain as one of the accessories for the package, since she knows there are many people, like herself, who don't have the habit of writing down things on a diary any more, so she sticks with a key chain and this one looks like a a bunny eating an ice cream, but it's all black and white.
For reference, I'll picked Oh!GG's 2020 season's greetings.
i remember visiting my grandparents in korea when we were kids and we'd have so much fun playing in the snow and making snow balls fights and snow angels, and after all of that, we'd get a hot cup of cocoa. maybe winter is not so bad, after all.
Spontaneity had brought him to this embarrassing moment. He should have known roller-blading and ice skating had significant differences. He knew himself to be decent at balancing when it came to sports, but roller-blading was proving to be a challenging one. He couldn't wrap his mind around braking without being forceful, or hoping to come in contact with a railing to stop himself. He didn't know which option would be more embarrassing. At this rate, he was willing to not save face and ask for Jiah's guidance.
"How do you stop without face-planting?" He questions, using the wall to stop himself from continuing down the path. "The brake makes no sense to me. How does it even work? I feel like I would fall backwards. Not sure which one is better–" He briefly presses his lips into a thin line, smile naturally forming on his lips and reaching his eyes. "I underestimated my skills. I admit it..." He turns to face her properly on the skates, feeling tempted to crouch down and become one with the ground instead. "Show me once, please!"
"Bend your knees just a little and put one of your legs in front, darling," Jiah says mid-chuckle but seeing as she's trying to prevent Sangwon from getting hurt, she lets go of his arm and takes some distance herself to demonstrate. "Falling on your but will always be the best. You can't hide a broken nose, but a broken ass is easier," she says matter-of-factly and nods at him. She then picks up momentum and while she's not fast, it's still in considerable movement.
Jiah doesn't know what makes her change her mind. Maybe she just wants to show off a little, or enjoy more of their time out, too, but instead of breaking with her heals as she was planning to, Jiah changes it to a lunge stop and rotates in a short area. She grins at Sangwon. "See, super easy right? Ready to try?"

"I never took you as the squirmish type, but you've really been proving me wrong in the last fifteen minutes," Jiah says more amused than annoyed and she holds tries to keep herself standing on the rollerblades, all while also trying her best to keep her companion from falling face first in the pavement.
She guesses LGC wouldn't at all be pleased if something happened to their perfect-looking faces, let alone because of a silly accident like this. Even though they are both covered from head to toe with hats and sweatshirts and masks to make it harder for people to recognize them (though it's so desert outside, Jiah is almost annoyed they need to have so much precaution), they could still end up hurt somehow.
"Didn't you tell me you've done this before? Or were you just trying to impress me?"
Jiah only remembers about playing the games when it's already late in the evening and the party is almost over, which is surely telling because the whole party was set up to encourage people to game. Jiah is dressed up like a game character just like everyone else, but in her defense, chit-chatter and food and gossip caught her and didn't want to let her go, hence why Jiah made her way towards the Super Mario Bros station when there were very few people still playing.
That didn't stop her, though, especially because Jiah from all people has been an expert controller sharer since player 1 in the Moon household was, as expected, a big deal. And Mario was also the one game their parents knew how to play with no problem, too, so going back to that particular section was like going back home.
It has been years since she last played, but everything still felt very familiar. Muscle memory kicking in and memories of the level challenges that she didn't even know she had stored in her mind still. Jump here to get the mushroom that makes you throw fire balls, break this block to get more coins by going over the top, this is the part Jino would come in so you both would complete the level. And so and so on.
It is genuinely funny how easy it is, and maybe that's why she unconsciously put it off for so long, because with what purpose would she do all of this again if not for nostalgia purposes? It is nice, of course, like going back in time when she only had to worry about math homework and playing videogames when it was raining, but more often than not nowadays, Jiah has been prioritizing function over nostalgia of all things. But this is basically her day off, she's dressed prettily with make-up on and hair styled up, so she doesn't even have time to even think about giving it too much thought about not networking, so she keeps playing level after level after level.
the weather is getting colder and i hate it but that's no excuse to dress any less pretty, so cheer up! we'll get through the thick of winter together.
Jiah wishes her hands were completely free so she could punch Jino with purpose this time around. He might be taller, but she’s older, after all, where’s the respect? Instead, she just clicks her tongue and attempts to kick him instead, and just misses him because her brother was half a second faster than her.
“You can’t say that in front of her, though. If grandma gets the slight impression that she shaped the whole family to be mini versions of herself, we’ll never hear the end of it,” Jiah says with a slightly annoyed tone. Not that their matriarch might not know that already. The key to a good conversationalist is to notice things and come up with things to talk about after all. But Jiah thinks that if she became aware that they know, that would be a challenge on itself.
“Exactly my sweet darling baby brother, I can’t possibly be wife material. I play around too much, or whatever. You, in the other hand, came straight out of a romance novel. That’s why grandma can’t help it but want to set you up with every girl in the neighborhood,” Jiah smiles pleasedly and shrugs.
Jiah tries her very best to keep her laughter from being too obvious, but since Jino is right by her side, it’s impossible that he didn’t hear her snicker. Jiah waves back excitedly at their direction.
“I’m all about letting you feel the things you need to feel, Jino, and Jae was a sweet girl, don’t mop for too long. Some things don’t need to stay in your heart for that long, not even pretty girls,” Jiah advises. She tries not to be insensitive when it’s Jino’s love life. Despite being similar in many fronts, relationships are not something they see eye-to-eye after all. “You mean the pretty dude from the bar that last time? He was a shithead, so I did some things to make him dump me, instead, so you know, he thought he came out on top, and I won’t have to worry about the company finding out. I’m free as the wind.”
“you say that as if she doesn’t already know that.” they didn’t need to utter such a thing for their grandmother to already
it’s laughable to think that their grandmother was none the wiser to it all.
and jino was smart enough to know that their grandmother surely knew this for a fact. “you say that as if she doesn’t already know that.” he scoffs, hiking the boxes to his side, feeling his bicep already begin to ache — had he overdone the soju the other day? had they already melted whatever muscle he was trying to maintain — the thought brings a frown to his face.
“do you think we can convince mom and dad to have another kid just so 할머니 can set that kid up.” he jokes, knowing their parents had already two-ed and doned them a long time ago and were enjoying their lives as traveling in their off-time, adding another moon to the family was no where on their radar.
jiah was right — jino knew she was — but in his heart of hearts, no matter how much time had passed, and jino had tried to say it didn’t — it still stung. but he was getting better, getting over it, at least. he had taken his mind off it through work, and through work, he had brought upon himself another responsibility.
“and what did you do this time, hm? let me know so i can avoid doing that.”
it was crazy how different they were with their approaches in relationships. here jino was struggling to hold onto them, while jiah was all too happy to let them go, just as easily as they came.
“A little bit of humbleness would do her well. We don’t have to mention it,” and as soon as the words come out of her mouth, Jiah gasps dramatically, “does that mean we have to tone it down, too? Are we too much?” which, genuinely, she already has the answer to that. Jiah especially feels a little bit too much for most people, but it’s a take it or leave it situation. She doesn’t have plans of changing. Suddenly she’s more understanding towards their grandma.
"Why would you want to submit yet another child to grandma's insistent matchmaking shenanigans? That might be the cruelest thing you ever said, and that’s just because you don’t want to sit beside with girl number 14 for dinner,” she mocks him and nudges her brother with her elbow.
“Well, first of all, you say it like I do this all the time, excuse me, it’s not the case, alright? But I did things like said I had to hang out with boy friends for work, and that I couldn’t see him because I was busy, but what really did it was when I didn’t put on makeup one day to see him in like a café, and me being a “lousy girlfriend” was the last drop for him apparently. Mind you, we hung out for like maybe two and a half weeks, I would hardly call that dating.”

Modeling Mission 020 - LGC Agency x Cinema Today Collab
Jiah remembers watching Sunny during the summer of 2011 when they were visiting their grandparents in Korea. At the age of eleven, it’s not like Jiah fully understood all the themes the movie was talking about, but she was so fascinated by the colors and the style and the friendship and the women in that movie, that it quickly became her favorite of the year.
Who would have imagined that thirteen years later, Jiah would be working on a collaboration, and she would be assigned to the promotions of Sunny of all movies.
Jiah’s favorite part of every new project is the fitting. She loves dressing up and having makeup and hairstyles testing. For this one, it’s especially fun not only because it’s of a movie she likes, but also because she’s working with other girls and the retro style is one that particularly flatters her (but sincerely, it’s so difficult to find a style that does the contrary).
They put Jiah in colorful skinny jeans she hasn’t seen being used in years, and feels particularly vintage when they put her hair in a side-ponytail after making it wavy. Nowadays, trends have changed to more chic and less colorful fashion items, maybe a little urban sometimes, but it’s all very… “simple”. Jiah can’t help but think that styling back in the day had a lot more personality than now, to be honest, or maybe just a lot more individuality.
Jiah even takes pictures and sends them to her mother which she replies with pictures of herself from her younger days. People have always said she took after her mother but seeing them dressed similarly just felt like the cherry on top to solidify that idea. She wishes she could post both side by side on social media just to brag somehow.
[ kakkao ] Your dad is taking me bowling. we went on a trip down memory lane because of your pictures, darling.
[ kakkao ] Do you want your baby pictures? We found that one where you used a whole bottle of my moisturiser at once on yourself.
It’s Jiah’s first brand event with Innisfree and she’s over the moon (no pun intended).
It might be a run in the park for other people, honestly, and she understands why some more experienced artists would think she might be overeating, but to Jiah, this is big news.
Not only because she’s sure her grandmother will brag about it for at least six months or until she gets another gig, but also because, for the first time maybe, since changing career paths and debuting as a model, Jiah feels she has made it.
It was a shot in the dark, going from an idol trainee, having singing practices, and dancing lessons, and debuting to something a lot more mellow and “simple” such as modeling. And she has heard from acquaintances that all she had to do now was look pretty, and looking pretty has always been Jiah’s specialty. But it’s much more than just that. She feels like it’s so much more than that.
Jiah has always loved working in teams. It’s much better to have input from other people than just doing things by yourself, and sure that could have happened if she debuted in a group, too, but she never had any guarantees that it would ever happen. Jiah, as a matter of fact, despite knowing how to sing, didn’t have many talents other than that.
“Unnie, I want to work like this for a long time,” she tells the makeup artist who’s making the final touches before Jiah was presented. “Huh? All of a sudden?” the makeup artist asks her after chuckling. Jiah nods and smiles, “I feel really good when I get to work like this. I knew that I would get here someday, but I didn’t expect to like it so much. It’s fun!” Jiah says enthusiastically ending her sentence with an excited flap of her hands.
“Then let’s continue your fun with the people who are waiting for you, fun girl,” her manager pops up at the doorframe and rushes her with a head nod to the outside.
“Do I look pretty, though?” She stands straight and throws her hair over her shoulder, “I know I do. Let’s go.”
hi! i'm finally putting this up after a million years because i started learning a new language this week and i didn't remember how taxing studying something you like actually is.
this is a plot call to all of my characters (jiah, baekhyun and asami) since i don't want you all to see more of me when i went basically missing for the longest time.
the one i want to bring some special attention to is lgc charms japan, that is the radio the girls have going, and for that one, asami needs a japanese artist or trainee with at least 60 japanese points OR a debuted artist with more than 60 japanese points so please let me know if your muse is interested in showing up to something like that. this trimester theme is holidays!
if you're interested, please let know by hitting me up on discord (.yooshi) or here, or even leave a like and i'll contact you shortly!

he resists the urge to roll his eyes for fear of them getting stuck there at his sister’s try for coy. “pretty, sure — delicate? eh.” he raises a hand as if to wave off the thought before skipping ahead, foreseeing an ache of some kind in his near future at his remarks.
“must be where we get it from.” though the moons were no short of the hospitable kind — friendly a true forefront of the moon siblings, the true matriarch of their mother’s family surely had a hand in their overt friendliness, the extroversion in their personalities a well-known factor in each of them. even their father, in all of his grounded and firm nature, was a yapper at heart when around their grandmother. “leave it 할머니 to make a friend wherever she goes.”
even their mother — who, in her own right, would say that she was nothing like her mother — was a vivid picture of her as she walked the streets of her old home, arm-in-arm with their dad from behind them.
“누나~~~~~” the long drawn call comes out as more of a whine than a reprimand. “you can’t leave all the matchmaking to me, that’s unfair — even for you. breaking hearts is more your style, anyways.”
he feels his laughter fade, lips itching to break from their grin when he sees the woman look over to the moon siblings and all jino can do in return is deliver a wave and a embarrassed smile back to her before groaning, inwardly. giving jiah a look as they travel onwards to the next block to their grandfather’s fishing buddies’ home.
“it’s too soon for me, it hasn’t even been that long since jae broke up with me.” and jino was adamant to avoid rebounding — he knew that would do him no good than to add salt to a pre-existing wound. “are you dating anyone or did the last person not work out?”
