Hey…I am a super fun teacher. I do lots of fun activities. Lunch and flowers huh, you haven’t even tried my purple drinks yet. I could be horrible company for all you know. Of course, of course, another metaphorical scenario, right? Oh and if you did it…that’s your motivation right…it’s all for the children, yes?
Well you know what they say, confidence is very attractive. Again with the flattery, Devin? Will I be as hot if I’m not in a short skirtand dress blues? The imagination is a wonderful thing.
Oh yeah I believe you, so much fun. Again I said it's not really going to happen. Yes another metaphorical scenarios, that's it. Yep all for the kids, you know got to make them tinys happy.
Look now you are flattering me, calling me attractive and such. I'm sure you will be equally as hot with whatever you decide to wear.
Mixology || Paige and Devin
She really liked his smile. It was the sort of honest stretching of lips that seemed so genuine that it made her want to smile too. And she did, eyes bright as she ushered Devin into the apartment. “Oh god…if you told me you didn’t like pasta I would have been absolutely heartbroken,” she teased, clutching dramatically at her chest. An eyebrow quirked upwards as she regarded the four bags of alcohol he’d brought. “And you apparently know the way to mine,” she answered with a chuckle. “You brought enough booze to fuel an army, here come put that up here.” Her hand rested against his arm, leading him over the the kitchen where she helped hoist up a bag.
"You’re timing is perfect though," she continued, "This pasta is almost done. The sauce is a secret family recipe." Paige hadn’t missed the breath he’d taken, and being that she didn’t think her apartment was all that impressive, she was left to assume that perhaps he was nervous. Which she found rather endearing. "Besides, always good to have some food in one’s stomach before alcohol is enjoyed. I learned that the hard way after one too many college parties."
Nimble hands grabbed two plats from the cabinet above her, and she began spooning some of the saucy noodles out. Her eyes however, shamelessly roamed over to Devin. He had the look of the kind of man parents told their kids to stay away from in high school. Too much black, must be a devil worshipper or a punk, they would say. Paige was glad that her parents had never been like that. She’d brought home pierced, tattooed, long-haired and grungy clothed boys all throughout high school, and they had never batted an eyelash. The girl had always been taught that the packaging was hardly as important as what was on the inside, and all she’d seen of Devin was sweet and funny. Handing him a plate with smile, she nodded over to the small table behind him. “Take that over there and we can look at your song while we eat.”
Devin smiled and took his back oak off setting it on the counter. Grabbing his book of songs, he smiled at the girl taking the plate and walking to the the table to take a seat. “Thank you, this smells wonderful, and it looks delicious.” He laughed as his stomach growled. “I’m so hungry, for lunch I had an apple and some nuts. Healthy, but not filling.” He laughed placing his song book on the table in front of him.
He flipped through the pages until he came to the one song he wanted “I have three songs that need female vocals, I’ll show you one today and maybe another time I can show you the other.” He smiled softly handing the teacher the book. “So how was your day?” Devin asked placing his napkin on his lap, and taking a bite of the pasta. He looked at the girl with a big smile on his face. “Oh my this is so good, you can really cook.” He laughed taking a few more bites, while the girl looked over the song.
Devin never really shared his music with people. Well that’s a lie because he performed it, but he never shared his music with people unless he knew it was great. This whole evening was strange to him, the idea of eating dinner with someone he didn’t really know, and he’s sharing his music with her. Wow this town really does wonders on a person, he smiled to his self “so how do you like it so far?” He asked the girl, and eyebrow quirking upwards.
Mixology || Paige and Devin
Of course, Paige had been brought up hearing her parents tell her over and over again “Stay away from strangers, don’t talk to them, don’t take anything from them.” She’d never been very good at following that advice. After all, a person was only a stranger until you talked to them. Was the lady in the checkout line a stranger if she had a nametag on? The children in her classes were all strangers on the first day of school, and yet she was expected and encouraged to interact with them. It seemed that strange adults received an unfair amount of suspicion from her parents, and it filled Paige with a rebellious need to jabber away at any adult she met.
That rebel atmosphere never quite left her as she aged. People she had yet to get to know where exciting, untapped potential fun and excitement. But as she aged she’d smartened a little, and being open to strangers didn’t mean she didn’t have a can of pepper spray on her, or the knowledge of some basic self defense skills. Not that she thought she’d need any of that with Devin, the man seemed about as threatening as a puppy. If he were a serial killer or a psychopath, he was a damn cute one, and it still might have been totally worth spending an evening making purple drinks.
The purchased ingredients for the evening were carefully organized on her kitchen counter, mostly because it had been something to do with her hands, and a way to keep her eyes averted from the clock once it hit five pm. Paige had considered dressing in one of her work outfits, just to tease him with an allusion to that naughty schoolteacher fantasy, but in the end had decided to hold back. After all it was no fun to put all your cards on the table at once. That didn’t mean that she hadn’t picked her outfit out carefully though, donning a pair of fitted black slacks and a low cut purple blouse that accentuated the curve of her hips.
When the knock on the door came, the brunette toyed nervously with a strand of her hair as she went to let Devin in. She smiled as she stepped aside to let the man enter her apartment, trying to think of a greeting that would be less cheesy than “Oh hey there, I hope you found the place okay.” Instead she settled for “I hope you brought an appetite because I felt a sudden hankering for pasta with our drinks.”
What the hell was happening. Devin never just went to someones house after talking to them for three days. This was really weird, and new but he couldn’t find a reason to not want to show up at the teachers house at five pm for purple drinks. Growing up Devin was always the kid that people wanted nothing to do with, and here he was being invited to some females house. Hell Devin never was invited anywhere, he was the outcast his whole childhood so this, it was kind of a nice feeling.
Devin had just clocked out at the grocery story, anxious for what the evening held. He smiled, and waved to his boss as he walked to the liquor cabinet and grabbed a bottle of tequila, and whiskey placing it in his hand basket with the four cases of beer. Sure he looked like a fucking alcoholic, but that wasn’t the case at all. He knew it was sort of a thank you gift for the teacher. He smiled at the younger cashier who was ringing up his stuff, and chewed on his bottom lips. “Do you think I look okay Ana?” He asked motioning towards his black skinny jeans, black button up shirt, and black vans. “Devin I think you look fine considering how much black you are wearing.” Devin laughed, paid, and walked out of the store.
Devin curled his fingers into a fist knocking softly against the door of what he hoped was the females house. What felt like a million minutes later the door finally pulled up with a stunningly beautiful girl on the other side. With a small smile making it’s way across Devins face, he held up four plastic bags filled with alcohol. “Oh you certainly no a way to a mans heart.” He laughed stepping into the apartment taking in his surroundings with a huge breath.

I don’t think my students would take me very seriously as a tomato. That could be damaging to my career, ya know? Alright, so lyrical fun first, and then we break into the alcohol. Sounds like a plan. Here’s my address…since none of this can happen if you don’t know where I live. I’ll be home any time after five.
Oh you’re pretty sure, huh? That’s a bold statement. Though I guess “naughty schoolteacher” is pretty common on the list of fantasies, but still…I’m sure there are some people out there who aren’t into it. Tell me…would it have to be the desk in a classroom…or would say…the rather large desk that holds all my supplies in my apartment suffice? I am merely asking out of metaphorical curiosity.
Well could, at least the kids could have some fun during class. You know if I was to ever stop by and bring you lunch, or a flower just because. I'm not saying that's what's going to happen. If I did they could know I'm the cool guy who made their teacher less "mean"
I'm pretty confident that it's the truth. Oh I know there are people out there that don't have a thing for school teachers. But when a school teacher looks like you, the only thing I picture is you in a short skirt, dress blues, and being all teachery. Well a classroom desk would make it more real, but I guess using our imagination couldn't hurt metaphorically of course.
C’mon, do I really look like the kind of guy who needs an excuse to do something?
Yeah, just a little bit. We will pretend that you don't though.
Didn’t we just talk about how you needed to knock it off with the flattery before I turn into a tomato?! Oh yes…though I guess we’ll need to do that before I make the drinks because me and lyrics do not mesh well when I’m inebriated. Though I’m sure they are wonderful as is.
Why Devin I am completely and utterly scandalized right now. And I’m totally not admitting to anything…but that may or may not be a fantasy of mine as well.
Tomato Paige. Again I'm just being honest. Yes same here lyrics, and alcohol not a good mix, not a good mix.
I'm pretty sure it's a fantasy of yours. I'm pretty sure it's a fantasy for everyone.
I’m not particularly strong on the guitar, just mediocre enough to accompany my vocals. I like to do a little bit of everything, though I guess my personal style is indie/folk. Oh…oh I’m sure you could find someone a lot better than me…but….I’d be happy to sing with you one day. It is the truth, and it’s not like I can judge you. A teacher’s salary isn’t exactly huge these days.
You are probably fantastic, who are you kidding? That would be awesome, I can bring the lyrics over on Wednesday so you can go over them, You know tell me what I should change and shouldn't change. Yeah well a teacher is hot. I've always had this weird fantasy about hooking up with a teacher, on their desk.
Did I just say that out loud?
Not me!
I was going to say.

Oh…that’s not lame at all! I play a little too, though not at all for the past few months. My musical muse has been rather blocked. Occasionally I play at little bars and cafes too, though mostly I stick to the safety of my living room. Hey, in this economy any job is a good job.
You play? That's awesome. What type of music do you perform? I wrote a song that needs a female voice maybe one day you'll sing with me. Well aint that the truth.
Well they say it’s important to live a life without regret, so maybe you’re doing it right. Yes, really. It’s a charming smile, without trying too hard to the point that it looks fake, you know? I just realized I told you what I do for a living but never asked you. How rude of me. So what is it that you do, Devin?
Finally doing something right. Me? Oh I right music, and play the guitar for a living. I know lame haha. I perform at like local bars, cafes, and crap like that sometimes in the train station. While working a side job at a local grocery store. I know how lame a grown man at a grocery store.
You say oops but I feel as if you have absolutely no regret whatsoever. Well, if we’re going to play it that way then I guess I can say that you have a pretty cute smile yourself.
I do have regret though, major regret. Or do I? Aww really? That's so kind of you to say.
Oh I certainly will let you know. I’m sure it won’t take long, I’m pretty good at being creative. You…are being extremely flattering…and if you don’t stop my cheeks will be tinged a permanent pink.
Oops? I'm just being honest, and saying what I see. If you start blushing then I guess I'm doing something right?
Hmm, I haven’t decided yet. I’ll let you know when I think of something adequate. You really need to stop saying such sweet things, Devin, you’re going to make me blush.
Alright let me know when you figure something out. Wait what am I doing?

Well since you said please…and made a rather adorable face…I’ll have mercy on you.
Tsk tsk, it’s too late for that now, the illusion is ruined. You can make it up to me later though. Is it? I feel like you might just be saying that because I’m bringing you purple alcohol.
Thank you the teacher heavens.
Darn it, too bad. Okay, and how exactly do I do that? Purple alcohol sounds awesome, but that doesn't change the cute smile you have.
Well now I’m tempted to bring a pop quiz with me just to make you squirm.
Devin no…no no no…you’re supposed to adamantly protest and tell me that you are sure my drinks will be fabulous. For shame. Well…I meant my excellent conversational skills and my tendency to tell funny stories…but…if you think I have a cute smile…I won’ argue.
Don't please don't do that.
I'm sorry, I mean I'm sure your drinks are fabulous. Yes your conversation skills will make the night amazing. Haha I like that, because it is pretty cute.
