Hmm. I can't see any way to weasel out of this one.

Well... tea can be okay. On very rare occasions. Provided it doesn't have any tea in it, of course. Just, you know, some nice ginger or peppermint or slippery elm or what have you. Or a nice mug of hot water, with nothing else in it! That can be good. Kind of tricky, though. Room temperature water is so much less trouble to deal with. But I seem to be having difficulty pretending that still counts as tea. Maybe if I made some kind of homeopathic joke? You know, because the amount of humor is very... you know what, never mind. This was a terrible mistake. Reblog canceled!!!

I have recently discovered a method of coddling the packaging for the sugar so that the zip closure doesn’t delaminate itself from the bag before I use it all up: grab the outside of the bag at two points, one on each side, somewhat below the closure, and pull them apart to force the bag open. It feels awkward but it works!

Notes from Bible study with Reverend Joanne Coleman on 2017-09-04. These aren't my notes. I missed almost all of this particular bit, which is part of why I took this photo and neglected to take other photos, so I don't fully understand what everything here refers to.

My take on what this weekend course was about is that Jesus was a real live human rabbi whose teachings went against what most rabbis were teaching at the time. He inspired his followers enough that they changed the world after his death. When he was alive, he spoke Aramaic, with something of a rural accent. He often spoke poetically, used metaphor, cracked jokes. Even at the time, he belonged to a minority culture and spoke a minority language, and his words have suffered in translation, despite everyone's best efforts and intentions.
