As if I’m not painting and drawing enough lately…. Went to Leeuwarden by train because @ns_online offered this great free trial to travel at 40% discount and also because Urban Sketchers Fryslan had organised a meeting in the center near the Waag. We had a great but cold spot and for the five minutes the sun came out, there were stunning shades. I finished the snorkeling-at-home-reef today. I am quite happy with some details while I overworked some things also as usual. The size of this painting is A4 in a mixed media sketchbook. I used a lot of new Daniel Smith paints but also a few all time favorites of Winsor and Newton. Having a lot of paint to choose from is nice but it also creates 10.0000 new possibilities for “that perfect blend/mix,” which is time consuming. I planned a little sketch trip of a few days for myself this week so hopefully you’ll see some southern sketches Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and maybe Saturday By the way I don’t use my personal Facebook page anymore except for some urban sketching activities.
