Harriet has no idea how she’s falling for such a weirdo and can't handle how adorable and amazing and handsome he is. But she can act totally normal around him and pretend like she isn't losing it inside.

Sam covers his face like in the Devolver shorts as seen, but I also think he'd be very nervous and stuttery whenever he's around her because he finds Harriet super pretty, amazing, and adorable himself. He can't hide his feelings at all but Harriet doesn't notice or thinks he's mad at her/not feeling good because he also tends to run away in a panic after they talk

Like I was imagining a situation where Harriet is genuinely concerned Sam is doing badly mentally because he’s avoided her before when struggling. And she leans in real close and holds his hand super genuinely while asking if he's ok and Sam just can't handle it. Though here he actually runs away mid-convo because he *very* recently caught feelings. Harriet totally thinks he’s feeling like shit because of it lmao

And sometimes before he catches his feelings, Sam just being his usual self and hugging or being sweet to Harriet gives her the same feeling. She had a terrible day and vented to him about it, so hugs her and cooks dinner for her + Sophie. Harriet has to step out a few times to do the above
