i thought of all the babies today so have some hs theatre au prompts

“i’m the lights guy and you’re in the main cast, but you have nobody to run lines with you- i could totally run with you today,,, but off campus? maybe at that coffee shop across the street?” au (seth/jay) bonus: “we meant to run your lines but now we’re just talking after you treated me to iced coffee”

“we both wanted student director for our resumes and competed so much the director agreed to take us both. now im doing everything in my power to be better than you (you are too) but we end up working really well together” au (kate/sandra)

“we’ve been cast as romantic leads together way too many times- not a big deal, ‘just acting’- we actually like each other a lot and it’s clear to everyone but us” au (allison/leonard)

Jay: Mom, Dad, you guys already know know Seth, but I want to re-introduce him to you. Because now Seth and I are dating, um, so he’s my boyfriend!

Sam: We already knew that.

Jay: Seth did you tell them??

Seth: No!!

Vera: Weren’t you already?

Given how Vera and Sam reacted to meeting Seth I’m pretty sure that they thought they were meeting their son’s boyfriend. I’m sure if we’d gotten a canon scene it would have gone similarly.

I guess that’s what fic is for.

Tell me about it! I made @orthoglasses watch For the People and somehow she talked me into writing a soulmate au for them… I also feel like the accidental/didn’t know they were dating trope was basically made for Jay/Seth.

It was!! I like to think of everyone in their respective offices just assuming they were, and then it eventually comes up in a conversation with either of them. I’d say either of them would be super confused, and maybe even say “well I wish,”

And then eventually they have to confront each other about it and they end up confessing all their feelings and realizing, when they do start to date, now they’re ACTUALLY dating and it isn’t that big of a change from before. It’s just,,, soft and adorable.

Ha! Yes!

I can also see Jay thinking everyone’s assumptions are kind of funny at first and he just shrugs it off and doesn’t correct them, and then one day Seth is like “Did you know everyone thinks we’re dating?”

Jay just shrugs about it. He’s so unconcerned that it makes Seth start rethinking everything and realizing he does want to date Jay. I can see him asking Jay “Well, should we be dating??”

Awe yes!!! These two are just so cute and clueless, I love them so much💖💖
