When y’all are writing is there ever a point when you’re like “if someone does not lose their mind over this specific bit right here then what am I even doing?”

writers will really have a doc titled ‘fic planning’ and then it’s just blank

writers will say “i’m going to write!” and then do something else with the doc open in the background

writers will literally put out the most heart-wrenching and devastating piece of fiction that’s a million times better than the source and go haha hope you liked :)

writers will have a life changing event happen to them (married, natural disaster, accident etc etc) and then still manage to put out an incredible fic and go ‘sorry this was 0.394838373 seconds late guys :(‘

writers will go ‘love writing!’ and then don’t write for 10 years

anyway i love writing and i love writers

writers will complain about this post while continuing to not write

rereading my own writing is just a constant fluctuation between "damn, girl, you wrote this? (affectionate)" and "damn, girl, you wrote this? (derogatory)"

My only real and valid writing tip is that you google every word you make up for your fantasy stories. That's It

creative writing’s just like yeah sure i can deal with my issues i just need to cover them in several layers of metaphors first

touch depression? with my bare hands? no hang on *invents a character* this will be my gloves

you know that trope where someone pushes their powers far beyond their limits for an extended period of time & when they finally burn out they stagger back and almost collapse from exhaustion but their love interest is there to catch them… hoo 🤧🤧🤧

The good plot twists aren’t the ones that are wild left turns out of nowhere, they’re the ones that make all the other little things that didn’t quite add up before suddenly click

writing fanfiction is just. i’m being so creative and original. i’m plagiarizing everyone by accident. i’m a genius. i’m cringe. i’m too angsty. i’m too cheesy. this is not in character. it doesn’t matter that it’s not in character because these are my characters now. i love my hobby. this is the worst possible use of my time. i’m seeking validation. i’m projecting my own personal problems onto this story and i’m barely hiding it. i know so many words and i’m using all of them wrong. im on tumblr posting about it instead of writing it.
