12•29•21 | 🎄 Friendsmas 2021 🎄 I love getting together with my girls. So thankful we got to do it more normally this year (woohoo for vaccinations!). We decided to make it a PJ party and man were we comfy!!! I had a blast eating, talking, laughing, opening gifts, and taking hundreds of photos (literally 🤭). This is truly my favorite time of year. I got an exciting package from my dear friend, Sophie!!! She is SUCH a talent!!! She handmade ALL of these beautiful plushies. I snatched these babies up quick because I needed them in my life!!! She continues to blow me away. I'm so proud of her 😭 First we have spooky bulbasaur! I've seen such cool variants online and just had to have this gem the minute she posted him!!! He's a stunning, soft grey with fiery orange-yellow eyes and rosy cheeks. And we can't forget about that bright orange, spooky Jack-o-lantern on his back! Next we have little onigiri roll!!! She's from Soph's 100 days challenge series (as are the cactus girls)!!! I loved her rosy cheeks and plastic, button eyes and sweet smile. Then we have the cactus plush that started off my idea of creating characters from her plushies (which you can see in a previous post 😉)! This little miss inspired Jada (which I also commissioned my friend Adam to redraw in his style and he did bloody brilliant [also in a previous post ;p]). I'm a bit cactus obsessed, so the instant I saw her I raced to tell Soph she was mine! The sweet embroidered eyelashes just kill me. She's just so fun! Last, but certainly not least, we have cactus girl number 2. She's Jada's little sister, Trinity (whom I also drew and had Adam redraw [you know the drill by now 😘])! Again, I'm cactus obsessed and had already drawn some characters, like Jada, so my mind instantly said, "OMG, JADA HAS A SISTER!!!" and from there I knew she had to be mine! And that's it! That's my Sewmanyteddies haul!!! I'm so lucky to have added to my collection. It'll probably grow again in the future because I just think she's a wonderful craftsman (and friend). 10•24•21 | Animal EDventure Safari | Part 2 More sweet pictures from my Fall adventure with Marlene and Derek!!! Here we are at the lil pumpkin patch the safari provided. There were several for all the guests so that each group had their own. Since it had rained it was a little wet, so we just stood haha My favorite part is how we don't collectively know where to look in the group picture 😂 we should have coordinated better. Ah, well. 10•24•21 | Animal EDventure Safari | Part 1 The end of October was pretty crazy for me (plus, Instagram hates me and crashed while I attempted to write about this adventure previously 🙃), so I wasn't able to post these sweet pictures from my Fall adventure with Marlene and Derek!!! We went on a spooky Safari!!! We got to pet kangaroos, feed some goats and a cute cow, see some other awesome animals they had on the property (like capybaras 😍), AND pet Flash: the Sloth (literal dream come true)!!! It may have been raining at the beginning, but it was SO worth it!!! I had a blast hanging with my friends and seeing some cool animals to celebrate Fall. So lucky 🥰 We also took some pictures in the pumpkin patch they had set up (pictures coming later 😉). 🎊 Happy 27 to me 🎊 Today was SUCH a good day!!! I feel super blessed by all the things that occurred today. Mum got to take off work so we could hang out together. I kept my tradition of catching a shiny pokemon in pokemon go on my birthday (fifth year in a row!). My favorite YouTube creator posted a video (cool bday present. Plus, it made me win a bet lol). I got to watch my friend on his livestream for a bit. I got to get some delicious Chick-fil-A for dinner. I got to be a #basicgirl and get some cake pops from Starbucks, but because I'm not a big cake person I got to get some birthday ice cream too. Lastly, and most importantly, I got showered with love by friends and family, near and far. It was so lovely. I'm full to the brim. Thank you all and thank God for year 27. They say things come in threes, right? Well, here is the third and final installment of what I've decided to call ✨ art telephone ✨ This is Trinity! She's cactus girl's, Jada, little sister!!! She's a teenager who is bubbly, happy-go-lucky, into fashion (she wants to be just like big sis 🥺), and a bit mischievous. I loved making her from Sophie's second cactus plush. And Adam hit it out of the ballpark (as always)!!! (P.S. they are both so talented and you can absolutely commission them to make things for you... just saying ;D) Again, I love my art friends. I'm so pleased with how this little journey played out. I'm so proud of Adam for using his talent to selflessly give to someone else in need and I'm happy I was able to be a very small part of that. I hadn't been to one since the one near me closed down (RIP to that legendary place). It was really fun. I suppose I should mention he won... September 9th, 2002 9/11 "Dear God, on September 11th I was so scared. I hope it never happens again and I hope the bad people never come back and never hurt New York again." This is what 7 (nearly 8)-year-old me had to say about that dreadful day almost exactly one year later. I was 6-years-old when 9/11 occurred. I didn't understand what happened, but I knew I was scared. Everyone and everywhere I went seemed to have an aura of sadness and fear. I remember the videos that seemed to play nonstop. The towers smoking, eventually falling in on themselves. The people covered in ash. The people deciding to jump to their deaths instead of burning alive. It was an awful thing to relive. I distinctly remember one morning, shortly after the incident, mum was taking me to school. It was incredibly foggy. That's usually my favorite form of weather, but that day it filled me with fear. I looked up at her and said, "mom, did another plane crash?" She assured me that it was just fog and that I had nothing to worry about, but that didn't entirely quell my fear. I remember crying. And that's just my limited experience. I can't imagine what others are experiencing now, 20 years later. It's something none of us who were alive to experience it will ever forget. Let's continue letting that tragedy bring us together as a nation. 🌸🥰🌼 More of me amongst the flowers 🌼🥰🌸 The Air B&B we stayed at in Tennessee (and Tennessee in general) had such beautiful flowers!!! Here are some that I took. I think there are Black-eyed Susans, Queen Anne's Lace, and Hydrangeas (and others I don't know). Even though we didn't go out much due to COVID, we still had a great time exploring nature!!! ❤ P.S. Instagram needs to get it's act together because crashing after editing 10 photos is upsetting and shouldn't be happening...
