Everything about this situation had been entirely new to Julian. And while he originally thought these things - like kissing boys and lacking confidence and wishing to do it all over again - were bad, his opinions were swiftly changing. Either Jesse was that damn persuasive or he had really buried his feelings so far that they couldnât help but bubble up to the surface quicker than he expected. âYeah,â he said simply; it was different being the one who was so, figuratively speaking, swept off their feet. Whenever he kissed girls, he was more of the kiss and ditch type â the hit it and quit it and never call again type. He was nothing like that now, though. Not only did he care about Jesse more than all of those girls combined but the kiss in general hadnât been similar in the slightest. Allowing himself to be pulled in again, his eyes drifted closed for the moment their lips had met, but he was pulling back with a laugh and a playful roll of his eyes. âShut the fuck up,â he said, and he pushed against Jesseâs chest, unraveling himself from the other boyâs grip to move back over to the bed side. âYou better start unpacking your shit again, Halstead,â he raised his eyebrows, gesturing towards the suitcase that Jesse pulled out in the midst of their fight. âPut that away.â
âYou shut up.â Jesse smiled, completely at ease with the situation. This had all turned out a lot better than heâd planned. He pouted out his bottom lip for a short moment when Julian walked back over to his side of the room, but figured it was for the best. He didnât want things moving too fast. It was a common occurrence in Jesseâs relationships, and whatever this was, he didnât want to mess it up. At Julianâs words, Jesse rolled his eyes with a big grin. He took a few steps over towards his bed and sifted through his bag, pulling a few of his packed shirts out. âOh, so now you want me around?â Jesse teased, looking up at Julian as though he was presenting some sort of challenge. âIâm not so sure you really mean that.âÂ
