Some of my favorite gowns from the 2018 Battle of Flowers in San Antonio, Texas.  These gowns, which make up the Court of Classic Couture, pay homage to the works of Elsa Schiaparelli, Prada, Valentino, Balmain, Dior, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander McQueen, and Louis Vuitton.  The gowns, as well as the annual Battle of Flowers Parade, are designed, planned, and carried out by a group made up entirely of women. Each gown and its accompanying train are hand beaded and stitched over the course of months.
