and the keys they sing

Micha hadn’t drunk in a long time, she needed time to unwind and the stress of work and university was taking a toll on Micha’s tiny body. Her fatigue was getting worse and worse and the addition of alcohol wasn’t doing any good for her body, if the bags under her eyes weren’t a huge giveaway, her constant yawning would be. As she hid from the younger female, she find herself laying on the floor, getting comfortable and suddenly, she was out for the count. Sound asleep, her hair covering most of her face, looking like the girl from the ring. As the female got closer to Micha, the faint sound of her snoring became more and more evident. She wasn’t usually a snorer however when she was drinking she became one.

There’s a slight feeling of hesitancy present, shown in the slowness of her moves before she gives her a nod. She wasn’t sure what the older girl was trying to do - well, play hide and seek obviously - but it just came out of nowhere? She had called her and showed up at her place, though the call only ended two minutes before that. Knowing that, Jisoo figured that Micha was probably already in front of her door. And maybe, just maybe she had given her some extra alcohol... She asked for it, alright. “Unnie..” She started, but the other just ordered her to keep counting. So she did. “8...7...3-2-1, I’m coming!” Quickly finishing, she took a good look around before spotting a head of hair coming from behind the couch. “... You’re not that good at hiding, you know? Ah, unnie, did you drink too much?” When she didn’t answer, she walked over to her. “Are you okay?”

“i will wait until the end of the world for you.”

“word of advice,  shithead.  don’t you ever wake up."

“what are you doing here?”

“should i be worried?”

 "count to five and i promise - the fear will fade.“

"i can’t leave you for five minutes without having something broken!”

Every time she’d try to think back to moments before the crash, all she saw was her sister’s kind smile, the same one that greeted her every morning as she found the little girl on her bed again, jumping up and down as she didn’t even try to avoid stomping on her older sister. Every time she hated that she could remember how Soojin didn’t even scream, because there was no time. She hated how she remembered her sitting quietly when it happened. She absolutely hated it. Because her sister left this world quietly. She didn’t scream, she didn’t even look surprised, she just left. Maybe that was why she felt like she had to sit in silence all day, afraid that if she played even one note, those memories would vanish. Because while she hated them, she treasured them as well.
