Peter grinned brightly, jumping up to his feet and sliding the ring onto Jeremy’s finger. “I love you so much.” He echoed. He grabbed Jeremy’s face and smashed their lips together.

Peter offered a timid, nervous smile at his hopefully soon-to-be-fiancee. “Jeremy,” he repeated as he pulled the black box out of his pocket. “I love you. I know it’s really cheesy, but I’ve loved you since the moment I first saw you. I knew you were the one. And everything that’s happened… everything was worth it because I had you by my side. And I want you by my side for the rest of my life. Jeremy Ashburn, would you do me the honor,” he paused to open the box, “of marrying me?”

At this point happy tears streamed down Jeremy’s face. He nodded along to Peter’s words. Once Peter said those last few words Jeremy’s heart slammed in his chest. “Yes!” Jeremy almost yelled. “I love you so much.”

“Yeah.” Peter confirmed with a small nod. His heart was thrashing. He knew he could play it off, say he was feeling sentimental, but Piper would probably kill him if he put this off any longer. He had to do it. He took advantage of the brief moment Jeremy was distracted to get down on one knee. “Jeremy.” He whispered, waiting for the man he loved’s eyes to be back on him.

Jeremy got a little distracted looking around. He turned his gaze back to Peter who was on one knee. “Oh my god.” Jeremy muttered. His eyes filling with happy tears. “Oh my god.” Jeremy said a second time. It almost felt like his heart was beating out his chest.

“Ha, ha, ha.” Peter muttered as he got out of the car. He stole a look at Jeremy, at how beautiful the man was… For one moment, he allowed himself to fear what would happen if Jeremy said no. He quickly pushed it away and helped Jeremy out of the car. “Alright, now… couple more steps forward…”

Jeremy opened his eyes once he felt Peter stop him. He caught site of the bar that they met at. Jeremy felt his heart squeeze out of love. “The bar we met at? Babe what’s going on?”

Peter pulled into the nearest parking lot and breathed out slowly. His heart was hammering in his chest, and he was glad Jeremy’s eyes were shut. He could have one last moment to compose himself. Nodding, Peter pulled himself together before turning to face Jeremy. “Yeah, we’re here. But keep your eyes closed for just a little while longer; I’ll help you out of the car.”

“How much longer?” Jeremy asked with a slight groan. “If I get out of the car and fall I’m suing.” Jeremy chuckled, not knowing if Peter was still in the car.

“Are we there yet?” Jeremy asked with a grin. Jeremy’s heart skipped a beat feeling Peter’s hand give his a squeeze. He kissed the back of Peter’s hand softly. “I love you.”
