I learned this week that we should be careful when we want to write or speak something and make sure that it reflects what we have in mind and heart as it will generally show in our action. In a serious occasion, someone - perhaps someone of influence - might have observed us and noted it down. Be mindful and heartful. – Read on Path.

A nightmare for me lately when registering/participating for an event is getting an event T-shirt - even for free. I still can't understand correctly why we have to get an event T-shirt if we just need to wear them for a day - most likely this is the case, some even are needed for a couple of hours. I have unwillingly collected so many event T-shirts that stay in a box bought only for them and do not know what to do about them. I seem to feel the responsibility for keeping them. I also feel like not landfilling them. Giving them to charity seems not right too. And since I am not that fashionable or creative, I do not know how or when to wear them. I wonder if any shares the same feeling or experience. I wonder what others do with this type of stuffs. I also wonder if there is any advice on how to deal with them. – Read on Path.

Every morning sharing and discussion with my boss has been quite a lesson for me. For example, today I learned that my boss would rather be in the employee's favor than in the company's favor. Having worked in other small medium company and heard from some people, I know that some other bosses would try to or tell their HR people to press the welfare or benefit of their employees. My boss said that he would rather make the most of an employee can get when he could control that. But, I know that my boss is also a high-tempered one, that he cannot care about someone who makes him mad especially about work. If you can't do your job because it is your first time (or maybe second time), it's not a problem. I did that too. Just be honest! Including what you did and how you did it. He's okay about learning process. But if you say that you are qualified but you can't satisfy, that's another problem. And I also learned that he dislikes having to find out someone who blames others for the work s/he does. *random and rambling thought in the last weekday in July. – Read on Path.

The most "amazing" trip today is a 3 km trip in a taxi completed in 1 hour 55 minutes costing me 3 times as much as the usual rate. Turning back time, for the same trip hours taken, I will reach almost Sacramento (from San Francisco). Oh, I don't mean to complain, but this sounds like one. 😔 – Read on Path.

In Jakarta, to possibly consult and be served in this certain institution on that day, you have to take your queue number at 5 AM -or maybe earlier - because if you take it after maybe 5.30 AM, either you can't consult that day because you're not in queue (which is better, I think) or you will spend your 8 work-hours waiting for your turn to consult. Oh ok, indeed, this is a newly operated institution. What a crazy work life! I don't know whether to cry or to laugh. I just hope they will get better. PS. You might wonder if you can take queue number for the following day. No, you can't. The machine is turned off after 8AM. – Read on Path.

Just had a talk with a friend who's on vacation in the US and found out that Kinder Überraschungseier (or Kinder Surprise or better known here as Kinder Joy) is banned in the US because it contains parts that are small enough for kids to choke. Old news maybe but new finding for me. Mmmhhhh maybe the only personal reason I'd agree it to be banned here is the high price and my nephew (and now my nieces) keeps asking for it.
