So many shades of blue in this portrait of Kobe, and an excellent opportunity to break out my lush Luminance pencils! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As I preach over and over again - Black is never just black, and is honestly one of my favourite colours to work with!

I’ve been quiet on social media as a war rages on in Ukraine. I needed a break. ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ I’m an empathetic overthinker; as I sit here working quietly on a pack of wolves on my drawing desk I wonder about the hundreds of thousands of people fleeing a war-torn city. My heart broke this week as I read about dying children, bombed islands, and prisoners of war. ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ It’s all so overwhelming and impossible to comprehend, and so I turn back to my work. ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ And so here’s another sweet little portrait from last year I never had the chance to post. Little Dex came along beautifully, and I’m so excited to show you his final portrait ♥️

There are no words to convey the tragedy that has rocked the Devonport community today.
