She is honestly my favourite character to ever come out of a Marvel Cinematic Universe film.
First and foremost - She is a strong, powerful, fierce, black, female character!!
Second of all - Everything about her.
- When she and Shuri teased T’Challa
- Her Proud little smile when T’Challa defeated M’Baku and just how proud she is of T’Challa in general.
- Her annoyance with having to wear a wig and then throwing it in her attackers face, first chance she got.
- THE WAY SHE HANDLED THAT DAMN SPEAR MY GOD
- When she climbed out of the car window, onto the roof and threw that damn spear and then when she grabbed that damn spear mid air and landed perfectly!!
- HER AND THAT DAMN SPEAR!!
- If he touches you again, I am going to impale him to that desk.
- She speaks English when she wants to.
- Her loyalty to her country and the crown and how she never went against either, not even when Erik became King (which she wasn’t happy about) but she remained loyal because she knew by their laws that it was a fair fight.
- How quick she was to put Erik in his place when she realised T’Challa was still alive.
- The fact that she put her country before her lover because she knew that what he was doing was wrong. For Wakanda? No question.
Honestly, I just thank Bast for Okoye and Danai Gurira and I can not wait to see more of Danai as Okoye in Avengers: Infinity War!!
