The familiar drag of metal, followed by a curly, blonde head of hair poking through the vent to the shop.
"Ayyyy business pal! No hard feelings about the Blacklight incident, right?"
He stood up, something jostling in the bag he carried. The scent of the familiar toxin hitting Sebastian's nostrils before the jellyfish even said anything.
"And in case there's any, I brought a gift we can chat over."
He put a hand into the bag, pulling out an expertly torn off piece of the rotten coral. Squishy on the outside, liquid ok the inside, he shook it with the sloshing of the closest thing to alcohol in this pressurized hell.
- @jellyguyb
"Eh, it's alright. I kinda forgot all about it, honestly."
He shrugged, yet eyed the coral in his hand anyway. After all, if you know what drinking the coral liquid does, who would turn it down?
"I'd still take that gift of yours though, if you're still offering. We can share it."
"Course we can!"
He hummed, looking at the ledge behind Sebastian. He'd probably be better there, eye to eye, than well... Around six feet below the Saboteur.
"... Would you mind giving me a lift?"
He chuckled.
"Sure, sure. Cmere, shorty."
Sebastian leaned down to Lexi, lifting him up from beneath his armpits, like a cat, and placed him up on the ledge.
"Better?"
"Ayup! That's better."
He sat down, opening the bag, and handing Sebastian some of the rotten coral, keeping a smaller chunk for himself. Smaller creature, less alcohol needed, definitely.
"Cheers!"
He bit in, breaking the layer of solid and slurping up the liquid contents. It was a saving grace, having something to numb the edge like that, in a place like this.
Sebastian did the same, spitting the bitten chunk onto the floor before downing basically the whole thing in one go. If he was human still, there'd be no way he'd be able to do that. Small wins as a big fish.
"Thanks for bringing this, lex."
He chirruped, face already tinted a bluish pink, lapping at whatever had leaked off onto his hands in his... Less than gentle approach to opening the thing in the first place. And well that was definitely something to watch, the almost unnaturally smooth looking tongue, protected behind needle-sharp teeth. The medic looked fairly happy.
"No problem, Solace. Can't always drink alone, can I? Plus, your company is one of the nicest I've found around, to not say the nicest. You're tough around the edges. I like that."
"Wellz that's certainly, eheh,.. forward of you."
Sebastian, despite finishing drinking the liquid in the coral piece, pretended he hadn't to cover his own face, just partially with it, covering up the blush that was darkening his cheeks.
He just grabbed himself more, tail twhaking into the concrete as he drank.
"Not quite. Don't tell anyone I said this, but they all grate on my nerves, a lot. You don't, funnily enough. Just somethin' about you."
He looked at Sebastian, almost unaware of the vivid colour of his own face, smiling like a dumbass.
"Wouldn't mind hanging around ya more often."
"Well, there isn't exactly many options of people to hang out with down here. The expendables are annoying, the anglers and pandemonium are assholes, and most of the other entities, too. Jezzie is nice, but I might be bias as she's more like a sibling than anything."
Sebastian, trying his best to distract from his current train of thought, started rambling without realising and, at the same time, slowly sliding down the wall. The teeniest bit every so often.
Lexi nodded with a hum, just listening to the other ramble almost amusedly. It's not like the former human was wrong, far from it, really. Then he noticed Sebastian's slightly drag down.
"Where's you going, Solace?"
The way Lexi said, it, almost teasingly, was punctuated by a slight huff of laughter. Alcohol really makes the medic loosen up hard.
"Huh? Oh, uh, down, I guess. Floor looked comfier or something."
Sebastian shrugged as he inevitably hit the floor, still looking at Lexi as he wasn't much shorter like this when he was 'stood'. He also decided that down here, he'd be able to hide his clearly blushing face from Lexi's confident attitude.
"Alrighty then."
He lifted up his good leg, resting his chin on his knee, looking at Sebastian with a very fond smile. Probably fonder than any sort of 'buisness partner' should be.
"When was the last time you went out to swim around the flooded areas? I'm not saying it's a good idea to go swim while we're drunk, but maybe some other day. ...We can make it a date?"
"I tend to avoid the flooded area cuz it's harder to hear for danger there. Even if I can see."
Shrugging, he looked back up at the other, still on the ledge.
"I wouldn't mind if it was with you, though."
His tail wagged, thwacking against the ledge he sat on, the frills and fins shiny and translucent, like silk or lace.
"Lovely. We'll schedule that sometime then."
He tilted his head, eye lidding, the shine almost making it glow in the lighting. Not denying what he was staring at, however.

[ Jezzie wanders the halls of the blacksite as usual, out for resources to supply the two shopkeepers she had befriended. And, you know, for herself. She'd been doing better holding back on stealing stuff, I mean, it's not going to be here forever. She didn't want to get people killed because of her own greed. Hopefully she hadn't already, but she was in survival mode previously. It had been so long since she had even talked to someone at that point, god. No, now's not the time to think about that. You're doing what you like to do! Collect! So calm down. But the pit in her stomach wouldn't leave. Something was wrong and she could practically feel it. The creature packs her bag full of stuff, and makes her way towards Sebastian's shop. ]
[ Only for it to be empty. ]
[ She pauses, frozen in place as her fins droop, eyes desperatley scanning the room. No, no she missed something didn't she? A note, some sort of sign, anything. He was okay. She was overthinking! He didn't have to leave anything for her, anyways. They had just met a few days.. Maybe? Ago. It's hard to tell time down here. Despite her attempts to comfort herself, she empties her bag out in his shop, then rushes out to go and find him. He's fine. Jez repeats it in her head as she dashes through the cold, hollow rooms. Until she smells something. A familiar scent- Sebastian. That was his. Tail lashing behind her, the shrimp-like creature follows the smell. ]
"SEBASTIAN?! YOU HERE-..?"
-@jezztar
Looking around the room she was in, it was in a state of disrepair, to put it lightly. A thick layer of dust sat ominously on the floor, and a huge pile of rubble that seemingly caused the dust sat near the middle of the room. Sebastians' smell seemed to emanate from the rubble.
In another attempt to see if she'd get a reply, Jezzie called Sebastian again, and to their obvious shock and horror, a strange, muffled groan came from under the rubble. Just Sebastian's luck to get himself in the situation.
"AH- Fuck, fuck I KNEW something was wrong.. Okay.. Alright.. Ok.."
[ She huffs, rushing towards the much more prominent scent. Blood. It's that bad, isn't it? Her antennae feel through the rubble, ensuring that she had the right spot to start digging. And she did. They felt a body on the other side.. Hopefully still alive. Jezzie begins to move the rubble as quickly as possible, using both arms and as much strength as she could muster. Desperate. That's what she was. She had just met him, and god, if she had already lost him she.. Wouldn't know what to do. Her searching continues with a renewed vigor, uncovering... Sebastian. In an absolutely horrible form. Covered in rubble, pebbles, dust and blood. Tears begin to form in her eyes, tail tucking between her legs. No, nonono... ]
"SHIT.. God DAMN IT! It's- goodness gracious.. It's okay we can.. We can fix this. I can patch you u-up I-.. You're gonna be okay, Sebastian. T-talk to me. If.. You can. Stay awake."
[ They attempt to comfort him, despite their own.. Less than confident outlook on this. Tail wrapping around his own much larger one, she digs through her bag. Searching for any medkits she hadn't left behind.. Thank god, there was one, half used, but it would work. Her claws practically rip it open, as being gentle was the last of her worries now. Searching through the supplies and looking at Sebastian there.. Wouldn't be anything of use in here. Fuck. She had no idea what to do at this point. Maybe Lexi could help, but they were far, far away. Damn it. She couldn't do anything. So, she resorted to just.. Sitting here with him. Hopefully.. Hopefully it would be some sort of help. ]
"I'm sorry I can't... Help.. But- I'm sure someone else can. I can try and c-call Lexi but-.."
To both Jezzies temporary relief and sebastians soon to be agony, he seemed to be half conscious. For the sake of him not being in pain, Jezzie hoped he stayed that way for a little longer, as she wouldn't know what to do.
He coughed a wheezy sound, likely from the amount of dust around. From what Jezzie could see, he likely had a couple of broken bones and a metal bar or pipe stabbing into his shoulder.
[ Their heart pounded loudly in their chest, tail thumping from it's spot still curled around Sebastian's. She whines quietly, lips curled into her mouth, almost drawing blood from the fangs that rested on them. Jezzie had given up at this point, laying next to him as she breathed heavily. There was nothing she could do but sit next to him and pray. Or- her radio, shit, how had she not thought about it. She fumbles with the bag she had previously held, attempting to get his attention. Please, god, respond. ]
"LEXI! Lexi, angel, c'mon.. C'mon, respond.. Sebastian's injured we- we're near door.. God.. 53? I think? U-um.. I dont know what to do. There's.. It looks like some bones are broken and ahm.. Something through his shoulder.. He's unresponsive."
[ Jez rambles on, fisting a finger through her hair anxiously as she spoke. Nothing came back. She snarled quietly, almost breaking the radio as she placed it on the ground. Their hands cover their eyes, claws seconds away from tearing through their skin. A small sob comes from her mouth. She wanted to save him so bad. To know how to help and heal him. Her tail tightens it's grip, the lower set of arms hugging herself tightly. ]
"sorry."
[ She whines, feeling the inevitability creep in. ]
Whether from the sounds from Jezzie or her tail wrapped tightly around his, something dragged Sebastian partially from his mostly comatose state. Groaning in discomfort, Sebastian looked over hazily to Jezzie, a distant look in his clouded eyes, but at least he was somewhat conscious now.
"Jez.,?"
"SEBASTIAN! Oh, Oh thank god.. "
[ She whined, immediately rushing to hug him loosely. Her snout buried itself into his chest, refusing to mind the blood still leaking every once and a while from his wound. In all honesty, she believed she was loosing another she cared about. To something that was, once more, her fault. Not another moment in her life after this would she not know what to do. She would research medical knowledge for however long it took just so this wouldn't happen again. Whatever was needed. ]
"Please. Please stay awake I'm begging you. Don't leave me. Please. Don't go, I- A- Lexi's coming."
[ Jezzie fumbled, voice muffled and barely audible. ]
The radio crackled to life, a lazy groan coming from the speaker.
"Sorry, I- I was sleeping. So the Saboteur got downed?"
He sounded all to relaxed for the situation, faint whispers of him ordering his critters around could be heard.
"Door 52, was it? I'm on my way."
He didn't hang up, but you could very much hear him start properly moving, the clang of almost falling over from his bad leg, the chirrup of a sea bunny, it was... Domestic, even if a little fast paced.
"Can you tell me what happened, Jezzie? Knowing only the damage isn't much help if I don't know what happened."
His voice was level, bringing a sense of calm and lead into the situation. A much needed one.
[ She perks up immediatley as she hears the familiar voice comes crackling from the radio. Her ear fins twitch, eyes widening as she caught every word she could. Jez wipes the dried tears from her eyes, exhaling at the more than comforting soon-to-be presence of Lexi. An actual medic. That knew what to do in this situation. She didn't. She was absolutely useless in this situation, at least in her own eyes. Still slightly panicked, her voice came out weak and crackling through the device. ]
"I don't kn..ow I w-.. Shit.. I wasn't here whe..n he got injured. I.. I ju.. just- Jesus, i just smelled him and some blood under some rubble and-.. I guess it fe..ll down on him? I d.. I don't know, Angel."
[ The shrimp creature managed to stumble out through multiple apologies and endless stutters. It was starting to piss her off how bad her speech was but.. What could she do about that at this point? She was still panicked, overwhelmed, and one more bad situation from clawing her arm off. As usual since she got down here. To distract herself, she tugs at her cloak, adjusting the bag over her shoulders as she monitors Sebastian as well as she could. ]
"He's somewhat l-...lucid now ahm.. Said my na...m..e.. Ah.. Moved his eyes and head a b..it.. If that... Helps.."
As if to confirm what Jezzie had said, Sebastian's head lazily fell towards Lexi's general direction as he just sort of... looked at him. His expression was essentially unreadable but it was obvious that he wasn't.. all there at this very moment. He smiled goofily at Lexi as the jellyfish approached, a look neither had seen the truly genuine smile.
"..Hhii.."
He sighed as he got there, trying to school himself calm after he worried at the sight. That's a new thing. He... Usually doesn't worry about his patients too bad. Doesn't care if they die beyond the professional care. But the Saboteur had him worried sick like he hadn't felt in a long time.
"A... Drop. Jesus... Nasty look..."
he muttered, starting to look around him. Covered in rubble, he definitely couldn't help him in this condition.
"Jezzie, you're strong, right? Can you, maybe, help me get the rubble off him?"
He however, already had blacklight on the job, the void mass (much to Sebastian's dismay) crawling all over the serpent to goop at and take the big pieces of the mess off. Jezzie was just help, not necessary. But still it'd make it faster.
He was just already looking at the punctured shoulder, wincing a bit.

He hated it down here. Sebastian was on his usual hunt for things to sell, searching corpses and drawers alike. What was different from usual, however, was that a day or two ago, he believes anyway, a snot nosed expendable stopped by his shop, and he'd been so gracious to allow them a place to rest after seeing the state of them. And that kindness led to him catching the same snot nosed ickiness from the bitch.
Unfortunately for him, though, nobody waited around for you down here, especially when you're just a little snivelly. He was a grown man. He'd survive. As he wandered for loot, though, he accidentally bumped into something, no, someone. That blonde fella with the bunnies, him and his annoyingly pretty face and voice.
@fishcalledsebastian
He looked over, breathing in deep in a... Camouflaged attempt to sniff the air.
"You're sick."
He crossed his arms, tilting his head curiously. He had noticed... Fairly quick. Well he did after all have the cross around his arm to show the medical proficiency.
He didn't make another move, tapping his foot into the ground, taking another Deep sigh of air.
"Common cold, not too serious , but you're probably fatigued."
... Now that just wasn't normal.
"....what are you, a sniffer dog?"
Sebastian stared down at the other, trying his best not to look as bad as he felt. Emphasis on 'trying'. He had huge eyebags, his blue skin paler than his already vitamin D deficiency paleness.
"I'm fine. I've got stuff to do, if you don't mind."
Lexi sighed, seeming very peeved that Sebastian was not taking this seriously, but he couldn't physically stop a person twelve times bigger than himself.
Then he had an idea.
"2000 research."
He blurted out, knowing he had that, and more.
"2000 research if you rest off the illness, 2500 if you let me treat you. Deal? It's not like I have a use for it anyways, it's just rotting in a corner of my room."
"Just give me the 2000 and I'll go back to my shop."
It didn't take any convincing with Sebastian when it involved research. After he agreed, it then sank in that he'd probably have to go to Lexi's base to get it and then go to his shop again, but he wouldn't turn down 2000 research.
Nnnope. He just blew a whistle around his neck, and a vent cover blew off, revealing a puddle of Void-mass carrying a duffle bag. Huh. That as quick.
"just take it from Blacklight and help yourself to a nice, long nap, aight?"
