"Look, we kissed once Carter - and you told me you hadn't kissed a guy before." Jason confessed, hands up defensively. "I've been there before, when a guy's figuring himself out, and I'm a good friend to them and they think I'm the one to help them figure themselves out. I'm flattered but I can't go through that again." He purposefully avoided the question of whether he wanted him, of course.

"Look, it ain't that difficult for me. I kissed you, I got hard. I think about your personality or your smile, I smile. You're not an experiment." he said softly. If there was anything about him, he was honest and he was open. "Yeah, you're a guy but you're also just a person. A person that I like." he shrugged a single shoulder. "But... I'll respect your boundary. I'll--I'll back off."

"I think you just need to know yourself before you decide you know what you want." Jason uttered, though he remained in his place. He couldn't deny the attraction to Carter, but he wasn't ready to be someone's first foray into exploring their sexuality. It was a complex journey for anyone and Jason had too much going on. "I can't just be a stepping stone for someone."

"Steppin' stone for somebody else?" he scoffed but didn't stop advancing on the man. "Somebod- who? Who else could there be? I want you." he repeated. He was lucky, he came from a family of people who were non-judgmental, who loved wholly and would never make him feel like less than he was. Hell, his little brother was gay. "I don't give a fuck about anybody else. If they're not you, I'on want 'em. That's it, that's all that matters to me. Do you want me?"
