Heyyo! So I have a little more room to talk here compared to Twitter. Let’s talk about Mapples! Mapples will be my second channel. I have specific plans for some series over there, but in reality it’s just a place for me to put “the rest”. I’m gonna be putting unfinished projects, tutorials, and blogs over there so Jeffcrafts doesn’t get so clustered all the time. Here my ideas; Also, MOC will actually stay on Jeffcrafts for the time being. Manga/Chibi Review: I’ve mentioned plans on reviewing manga, and I do a chibi paper craft review already. So why not merge them? Here is an example. I read the first volume of “Silent voice”, so I figured id review that. Not huge spoilers because it’s just the first volume. I also have the two paper crafts from that manga I wanted to review. A little two in one episode. Vlogs: Not that they are going to be as consistent as my buddy Lord Pig Steve, but vlogs and stuff will be over there. Might consist of hanging out with friends, or a review of the new setup. I dunno, we’ll see. Tutorials/other: I was thinking about tutorials? I don’t know what I’m going to do yet, but just kind of placeholder for that stuff. If Jeffcrafts is the center of the Buddy Skits, then Mapples will be the “how I did it” portion. ———— Unrelated: Quick quick, very quick topic I wanted to mention. I mention all this stuff because I’m constantly testing out and evolving the trick-of-the-trade that is my channel/content. If I ever mention “I want to do this” or “sorry, won’t be a stream tomorrow”. Just know two things: 1. I LOVE this, and even if I sound stressed or out of time, just know that I love making videos, and hanging out with you all. So with that in mind, also note that I’m doing all this in my free time, and for free. I don’t care about money, and thats not why I brought this up. What I mean is I work for a living, I’m covered money wise. But, all this stuff like streaming, and making videos comes out of the little time I have after work. So just know that if I mention something, and it doesn’t happen. I’m trying to get to it, but sometimes I just run out of time. Thanks for understanding! 2. When I say I’m doing this out-of-pocket, I mean it. I haven’t made a dime since I started. And I’m not like “gah.. I wish I could make some money off of this”. Well, if we are being honest, it would mean the world to me if I could turn this into a living. But, if I can’t? Who cares. Honestly, all this stuff, most of the time I can handle to do in my free time. Like, paper crafting and stuff? I do that in my free time already, so making videos about them isn’t that much of difference. I just want to make it clear that I love doing this, and I’m over-the-moon grateful that you enjoy what I do. Ok so, let's talk about papercrafting. A lot of you probably know me for my papercrafts. Either from PixelPapercraft, or the skits I did with those papercrafts. Don't get me wrong, it was so much fun making those videos, and they were relatively easy to make. Yes, they could have been shot and edited a little better. And I guess I did bump up the quality/writing in mod elf the newer ones. But, as it stands now. It's just not, as fun. For the most part, I don't have time to do them because of work. And then what little freetime I have, it just takes way to long to make them, and film the skit. It's hard to make them better each time if it seems like I have less and less time. Im not saying I'm done with the minecraft dbuddy skits, im just trying to figure out what to do with them. Maybe I'll make shorter videos, that focus on one mechanic like they use to? We'll see. Nothing is going away, I just want to keep you posted. Now that I'm streaming twice a week and all. I just want you to know, I haven't forgot about what is essentially the base of my channel. Hey, hows it going? Got some free time so lets talk! Ok so, I’ve done a lot of thinking about the channel, and really.. what I want to do with it. As I’ve said multiple times work just kills a lot of my time. It brings in money, but I have like no time to do anything. And, when I finally do have the weekend, I’m usually hanging out with friends. So, lets see. Streaming is really fun, I really enjoy it, and its s lot easier to just sit down and play some KH with you for an hour or two. I don’t have to edit the video and everything, and I feel you (and me) get a lot more out of it. Does that make sense? Ok, so not saying this will be a definite thing, but how about KH streams every Thursday? Every week we’ll switch to a different KH game, for example last week was Re:COM, so this week will be Re:coded, so on and so forth. So that covers gaming.. I have some other games in mind, but lets not worry about that now. Ok, so paper crafting, and MOC. For paper crafting, I actually post updates of what I’m working on every other day over on Instagram. Most of these I just do for fun, might not even be video related. But, I do still work on things for my videos time to time. I still have the newest Desktop Buddy skit ready. And have plans for another Chibi review. Really, all I can say is it just takes time. I kind of let the ball roll these past couple months because of work, but I’ll kind of reform a schedule. Sorry, but it’s just gonna take a little while longer to make them. For MOC, I know there has been a lot of Funko reviews lately, I had some plans for non-funks related reviews. Those might be once a month (or further apart). They are meant to be that close together, it was just the easiest to film at the time. Ok, I hope all this makes sense. I’m still trying to relax into my job and build a schedule for all this. Just know that I’m doing this for fun, and if you guys like what I do, it means the world that I can share that with all of you when I’m just screwing around with paper crafts at home. Hey guys, let's talk. What's new and where I've been. First of all, what's up? I feel like it's been a while. How are you? I've just been working.. a lot. I've had close to no free time. I know that's kind of life. But I don't know.. If you've caught up with the "YouTube's over party" whatever that is. It's probably no relevant to my channel in anyway. To make a long story short. I never started this channel "to make money". Yes I'd love to do this for a living. I just enjoy making videos. That's why I started this channel, to make videos. The YouTube is over petty covers how advertisers are pulling out and viewership is going down. Why? Because everything you say people get upset, systems like the copyright bot are being abused, and frankly. It's getting cramped. Now is probably one of the worst times to try and start a channel. Now, if you've had a channel and actually have footing... ittts not much better. To be honest, as of now the industry is really going down hill. Now I'm not here to say it's over, just sayin. If you can get a patreon or something going, do it. YouTube seems to be making plans to weed out smaller channel lbs anyway. So enough of that. Where have I been, and why has there a been a big drought in videos and more importantly, papercrafting videos?! I can assure you, whether I want to or not, I am constantly working on things. Whether it's writing, or papercrafting. 3/4 of my freetime I feel the need to work on something. Now I can write scripts all I want, but making them is another thing. I'm not gonna sit here and complain about how I'm not in the preferred field of work I'd like to be. But whatever. I have a job and I'm making money. Great. Gotta pay off those loans somehow. So everyday I get home around a little after 4:30 and have only a couple hours to work on things till I can go to sleep and go to work the next day. What that means is a lot less videos, or rather, less frequency? They take longer to come out. Where I would normally be able to make all the props and film in a week or two, now with work full time it's closer to a month per video. Which really sucks to be honest. It sucks because I want to make videos, and you subscribed to see those videos. And I'm sitting here like "sorry, gonna have to wait". Anyways.. so it goes. Little note: yes, I have the enchanting skit almost ready to film. It's written, animatic, and props are just about done. There was a skit planned for the slamacow gameboy; that was scrapped. It will be in the enchanting skit normally. What I'm trying to say is, thanks for sticking with the channel if you did. I'm trying some new videos that I can actually make in between the drought of papercrafting videos. MOC and stuff are a lot easier to edit compared to sitting down and making papercrafts. They just take a lot of time to make, no way about it. Ok, well I think that covers it. There's probably a lot more I can say. Buuut. I don't want to bore you. Big news! (Minor update) Hey, how's it going? I wanted throw a little update out there considering the new news, but lack of videos. Ok, so exciting news out of the way first; I'm getting a PC! Up until recently (recently meaning once I get it <a week after this post>) I have had laptops, or consoles. I originally had a Dell with 8GB of ram. Essentially I could edit my videos, and play portal. Which I'm all honest is all I ever did. Not knowing the difference between mobile and desktop graphics I decided to get a gaming laptop. (This was around when I started going to university). To be fair, it was the best fit because I didn't want a huge tower, I wanted something beefier that I could still lug around. It did its job. I mostly used it for recording and batch rendering videos. Anyway, now having a steady full time job, I'm really making some money. So I thought it would be best to finally buy a tower. What I want from it? To play games with ease. Using lower end computers, I always had trouble with lag, but I never had the problem on consoles. I'm thinking a pretty hearty computer can help with that. And between you and me, this might mean 4K videos. (But that means a new camera..so we'll see). Very excited and I'm gonna keep ya'll updated on twitter or Instagram! Ok, part 2. DBuddy skit wise I have some plans. I have an animatic for DBuddy ended chest. I just have to make it, haha (and that means both the papercraft and the video). As for other types of videos, we'll see. I want to play all the KH games (including 0.2, and the remasters coming out in March). I don't have much to say about that now, time will tell I guess. What's PaperJams?? Ok well.. as I'm writing this I am pretty sick.. so no videos till I recover. And that also means no PaperJams yet.. gah, I hate being sick. Anyway, let's talk about PaperJams; I have been hinting at it on Twitter. PaperJams is a vlog series, a more behind the scenes series. Not vlogs in terms of my Buddy LordPigSteve, but more like camera on the tripod and me just chatting with you. I've wanted to do this for a while, but now that I have a little traction with current projects, I have something to talk about. I've been writing a lot more in terms of animatics (like DBuddy skits, and the Flowey skit, or fnafcraft) so maybe we can talk about that. Might also do stuff that doesn't have enough content for a video, like manga review or something.. I dunno. I might also show off the papercrafts that don't make it into videos. We'll see. I was thinking about making a second channel.. but then I'm like. What's the point? I mean, I throw everything on my channel, and it's not like I have a figurative brand dedicated to one thing or the other. I mean, yes it's called "Jeffcrafts" but I do gaming as well as papercrafts. Why not also updates? The other reason is that the more complex videos get means less video frequency. By doing this I can tell you "hey I'm not dead, look forward to a video". So these are the tentative plans for that, and onto the next subject! Kingdom Hearts. Ok. So with KH I first need to finish of KH1.5, and we are almost done! I'm at the final world, and I just need to grind and level up a tad more before I'm ready. If you saw on Instagram I bought a PS4, for the upcoming KH 2.8 (1/24/17). I preordered it and everything! The next games would be Re:Chain and 358/2 days which I want to play side by side. And then KH2, and KH3D is in 2.8, and then we got Re:Coded. I think that's it, lol. Well. The return of gaming, protection of content, and no more monetization. Let's chat! Well.. yes. Indeed we are back with this topic. So I've talked quite a big deal about leaving gaming, so why not rejoin? I was recently playing Kingdom Hearts and I really missed making those episodes. Most of the other gaming stuff I didn't miss, but this, I did. That and the "W/ Friends Series". I think the real reason I stopped was protection of content; that and a little bit of lack of self confidence. But now.. I'm begging if to realize how stupid that really was to think. Now, granted I did have little to no time, more or less like I do now, so I kind of decided to take a break. So about the content, I stopped because I was doing really good with the paper crafting, but not so much with gaming. I was upset it was like that. So I decided one was better than the other so I dropped it little by little. This may come off as pretentious, but I was well aware that gaming wasn't doing well, and I wasn't the best. But I know realize it doesn't matter. I don't care as much anymore. That's why I'm also not going to monetize any of my videos. I'm going to make some specific gaming videos public again too. I guess what to get from this is new content. I'm tired of being afraid of what I'm releasing. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'll put the best of my ability into the content. But the gaming, and I'm planning on doing reviews and stuff. So with that out of the way, and kind of sorry for about the this and that, let's talk about what's happening now! Just a recap. I will be making public videos relevant to the newest series. Also, no more monetization. Period. So the series in question is Kingdom Hearts. Last I left off on KH 1, so I gotta finish that. Then Re:chain, then KH2. And onward. kH3D might be saved till we get KH 2.8 (which I AM playing). That's all for now. So the other thing I mentioned, of may not have, are videos other than gaming or papercrafting. Like the KH theory video, maybe stuff like that? We'll see. Hey, got some notes for new skits, so let's chat! So I just wanted to update you all a little on what's going on, skit wise. Let's see here. So the newest skit was just released; the broken record skit. In short, it was simply showcasing the new record discs (remastered) and more importantly the broken record. I also hinted once again at the end we dragon. It will be here soon! (Well.. soon being 2017?). Anyway, the next planned skit should be a new guide skit. (To note on this). Some of the skits, like this one may be hinting, or even using mechanics from the guide series, but aren't necessarily full skits. I don't want to call them mini-skits, but does that make sense? The long-short of it is that the 5 part guide skit has these mini ones seeded in amongst while you wait. (And to show off some smaller mechanics that I don't feel like working into the guide series). So the next guide is enchanting. And I'm getting excited about it! The potions one was really fun to make, as was the crafting. Now when I say next, I mean it should be next project wise. I technically still need to make the guide and everything. So video-wise I may be off by a little. Given the track record of working, court, and vacation it may be a while (but not many projects). We'll see; play it by year. Enchanting should be number three, right? Then there is combat/training for number 4, and number 5 is the ender dragon! As a side note, the two planned projects I am also working on are the PixelMon skit, and the Papers, please skit. Both of those are on the to-do list as well. Heyyo! So I just wanted to kind of write down the current story ideas for the new project. (I can't imagine a lot of spoilers.. but you know we'll see). I got this project idea from the original Flowey skit. The next video was about baby from the knew Fnaf game. If you noticed Flowey is actually talking to baby. Here's the idea. MC Flowey (minecraft Flowey) is becoming powerful. MC Flowey is able to "wake up" or animate papercrafts. They also receive a will of their own MC Flowey can control. (The specificity of them having a will is heavily on purpose). This might repeat, but here is a project bank of questions/ideas. *who are you? *As you can See my services are not available... *T H A N K Y O U ... ----- Synopsis: MC Flowey is becoming powerful. Flowey takes the help of Baby and Gaster to try and fight back. Both Floweys possess the power to warp reality. (Aka bring lifeless objects to life, and warp their will to live [the specifics of "warp will to live" is specifically noted]. Possible allies: MC Flowey: Withered Bonnie Anger core Flowey: Gaster Baby Special Turret Questions: How did MC Flowey get powers..? Why is Flowey asking for help? How did Flowey save Gaster? How is MC Flowey controlling will? ---- So in the end, I am planning to merge multiple projects to this same universe. I don't have everything planned out yet, but it is exciting non-the-less! Life is just a roll of the dice, let's talk! So timing could not be more impeccable right about now. If you didn't know, I just started my new job.. and got jury duty, and I'm going on vacation for thanksgiving. Yea.. well perfect. It all started when I got my job, that was great! I finally got a full time job to just work and earn some money. So of course what comes in the main, a court summons for jury duty. It perfectly lines up to be my second or third day working.. great. So if you don't know who this works, here's a mini re-cap. First you have a number, let's say there is a group of 1,200 people. (I had 250). They then say "we need 500 people" so every night after 6:00 you call in to see if you number is picked. If you are "lucky" you get the day off, and usually with accordance with your work you get paid to go. So you head down to the courts, spend your morning filling out forms and a simple questionnaire. If you are selected from there, you move to the next step. This next step is a lot more specific, they talk about who is involved, and you meet the attorneys. They gauge who is/will be completely just to the case. They want the most neutral jury. This took two days because they selected six, in which four were ok. I and someone else were the next, plus three alternatives. When selecting the alternatives there were problems. So after all that it seems I've been selected, and was sworn in.. yea? I'm excited, work was ok with it. I think it's gonna take around three or less weeks. I don't know about vacation thou. So anyway, that's really it. Work is fun, but it's 8 - 5 so I don't have much free time during the week. I'll mostly be writing, or prepping projects I guess. More to talk about later. Thanks for reading! Happy Halloween! (I know I'm early..) Okay.. so where do I start? So I got a job, like no kidding I got a job?! I'm a little in shock. After getting out of college I was job searching. It's been maybe a good month or two by now. What seemed like a regular interview, they offered me to start right off the bat! So why am I saying this? Well I'm excited that's why! Ok, serious now. The reason I mention this is a little change to the channel. Not the kind of change you should be worried about ;) So the channel has been on and off mostly because of my job search. It was relatively easy to make and edit the last couple videos because I had so much time off. Now that I have an 8:00 - 5:00 job it may be a little hard to keep that up. In terms of content, nothing will "change" it just might not be once a week. I don't start till Monday so I won't know how exactly things are going to go, just more of a note. Now, I love papercrafting, and I really love making the last couple videos. So there is no way that's going to stop. I papercraft in my free time whether it's for a video or not. (Yes, some projects I make for myself). So overall, thank you for getting the channel up to 415 currently! The two Halloween projects kind of fell through because of the busy week, they will still be released! Might be a little delay due to starting. Hey, how ya doing? I just wanted to touch base with everything that's been going on. It was a pretty hectic week for me, so let's get started. Okay, so quick note. I've been promising a couple minecraft skits, and we haven't really seen any. Everyone took off so o couldn't really film. I was able to make animatics, and write them, so pretty much I got a lot done, except filming. They will be here! Soon. Soooo, let's talk about the channel because I feel like it's been a little flip-floppy lately. If you've seen me talk about on Twitter, the long short of it was based on my two (newest) videos. [the undertale and SU videos]. I really liked making those, along with the flowey skit. Those did really well also, I feel like people liked them, and they gave my channel identity. I've thought about this a lot. My channels identity. All I want now is papercraft reviews and skits. That's what I want on my channel. Now I have so other videos planned like the unboxings, or (merch on the counter) and that's the extent of "other videos". I have some brand new videos planned; and they are papercraft reviews. They are gonna be like the SU or the Undertale video. Those will be pretty regular on the channel. They other types of videos will be the occasional Minecraft video (a review from Pixel Papercraft) and then Desktop Buddy Skits. So to label it, here: Papercraft Review, PP Review, Unboxing / MoC, DBuddy Skit, Etc Skit) I'm still configuring the DBuddy skits. I guess all I can say now is that they are being written. I'm still working on the 5 parter, and that next part will be out soon. I'm also planning a couple non-guide orientated ones like PortalCraft, or just regular ones. Today was a busy week is all, we'll see more soon! Not to put a label on how often we'll see them, but maybe not more than twice a month? Speaking of schedule, let's go over that. I don't want an official schedule, so the best I can do is point out the social medias to find out. Twitter will be my most active social media, and I may or may not be talking about papercrafting (..? Maybe that's a lie. Idk, lol). Heyyo everyone! I just wanted to make a little note here of the new projects I'm working on. I guess this is a little note, I feel like I'm not uploading as much. In between college, and full time job.. Blah blah blah. Let's do this! Okay, so idea A. I wanted to review the Undertale papercrafts; specifically the chibi ones. (Because I've reviewed the rest). That gave me the idea to maybe theme a papercrafting video. Like "here's Some Steven universe Papercraft" or "Hatsune Miku by: X". You know, either by author, or by like "chibi" or size or something like that. Basis: the one isn't enough for a video, but multiple will be. Idea B. Um so... Let's see here. I have this idea for the Flowey papercraft. Day in the life of Flowey? I don't wanna give away too much. But yea that's it. Expect that sooner then later? I hope.... Idea C. There is this software called Shimeji (I think that's right) I'm planning on reviewing it. Hm... That's really it right now. I have more in stock, but in terms of just on the spot planning I think that's it. So yea, new videos coming along, that's the main point. Anyway, thanks again for 400 subs! Ayyo, let's talk about some future projects! Okey so where to start, let's see. I'm kind of, holding back on some projects due to the DBuddy skits, most of the thing dive done recently reflect that. To get it out of the way I wanna go over PortalCraft and FNAFCraft. So, PortalCraft. I had mixed ideas for this project, and I don't fully know if I'm finished with it yet. But, as a general note I think I'm going to make a trailer for each future project, and go from there. When you see the trailer you'll understand what I mean. Pretty sure it'll just turn into a DBuddy skit, portal themed. Which isn't bad, I'm kind of excited. In terms of the story, I'm on the fence if I just want to merge universes. I guess there isn't much canon, lol. Anyhow, expect that in the future. (Don't know if that'll be near). So, FNAFCraft. From the newest 20 second teaser you've seen the 2 foot tall Old Bonnie. Very happy with it. And I do have plans to make a better trailer. A little more FNIS-like. I couldn't tell you about the direction of FNIS if I wanted to lol. In short, I'm very happy with how things are going. I think if I fit myself into this type of schedule, things could work. Oh I almost forgot, so um I can't time stamp anything, but here's what to expect in terms of my socials. Heyyo, got some stuff to talk about, let's go! So just as a fair warning, this is mostly just life stuff.. So, sorry in advance if it's boring. The next post will be about papercrafts and skits, so wait for that I guess. The time arrives, and it's finally here! I'm graduating from University!! I can't believe it. I've always struggled through school, so it's crazy to think I'm almost done. As a side note: I'm not done learning, you should always been keen to learning new things. It's just a note that I'm on my next step to my life . The next part o was worried about was a job; I've never held a 40 hour work week (or full time for that matter). My friend assured me it was a lot better then school. Work stays at work, and when your home, no one is gonna judge you for lazing around, or in my case papercrafting. So I'm just really excited about the next couple days. Through school they contacted some connections and found an opening at a bank; for those who don't know my major is IT; it's an IT specialist position. Very classy and official may I add. So I'll have a permanent job which is really good. It's bad that'll I'll have a lot of money though; I'm really bad with money, ok. This was cut short due to a last minute edit. Ayyo, wassup? Got some stuff to talk about, let's go! So um, I've got a very interesting relationship with the Internet. In terms of "Jeffcrafts" and whatnot. I'd like to say PixelPapercraft is where I started, and pretty much where I still am. Over on YouTube papercrafting definitely did A LOT to my channel, along with FNAFCraft. Okey so where does that Lang us? Well.. I really don't know. As you can tell (or maybe not..?) I did gaming for a while, here and and there. Along side papercrafting, and then eventually full time. Long story short I snubbed it. I didn't really like it, and my passion, and success, was with papercrafting. So from the last post I talked about Minecraft, and that's doing great. By no means am I done with that stuff; I was just discouraged with myself. (As you can tell I was ready to take it down before it went up - and I did take it down). I just need to take breaks in between these bigger projects. If all, you can look at it as an evolution of papercrafting! Basically, I really want to be proud of my work, so naturally I put more time and effort into writing scripts, camera angles, and general length and detail of projects. So with that out of the way, let's talk about non-Minecraft. Basically what's gonna be In between these projects. In the past I've experimented with non-Minecraft papercrafts. At first they really didn't do well because I was getting all the re-directing from PP (pixel papercraft), but as time went on, it worked itself out. Possibly because of the Undertale hype, I've had a lot of successful videos that weren't fnaf or Minecraft. Remember FNAFCraft? Yea so do I. Well, what exactly happened? (You tell me) don't feel like talking about it now. Long story short, all emphasis was put into FNIS (Five nights in Storage). You may see some "life size" themed videos, but idk, hype is kind of gone (but then there is sister location 9_9). Yes I did just accomplish about no reasonable explanation for the hiatus. Basically, with university and stuff.. It's just been kind of busy. Oh and sorry, never really answered the question as to non-Minecraft papercrafts right now.
