I urge everyone to state their opinions about the Higher Authority. Don't let them bully you into submission when there's something better out there for all of you. I know there is. This isn't the end. And I will continue fighting for freedom, so who's with me?

Since apparently the Higher Authority doesn't want me commenting on the recent disappearance (i.e. murder) of Robert Ashford, and I have to write about something in order to keep my job here, I suppose I'll have to cover the story of Hope Ottilie and Augustus Harper.

There's is an epic love story (or so I've heard). Separated by death, reunited by fate, these two young people have decided to tie the knot in the afterlife. Hip hip hooray, right?

Well, we'll see if the Higher Authority will allow them to wed and live happily ever after or not. Something tells me they don't want us to get too comfortable here.

In any case, good tidings to the happy couple. May your afterlife be happier and more fulfilled than your previous ones were.

“Something that is kept or meant to be kept unknown or unseen by others” I’m not entirely sure about everyone else but this definition seems particularily familiar. Should a town so small have so many secrets? Perhaps they’re being kept not for the better, but for the worst…

One of the new visitors is missing, presumed dead. Apparently, a young man by the name of Robert Ashford asked too many questions of the Higher Authority and they had him killed. 

Yes, you read that right. Good ol' HA had a living person killed. The "official" story is that he went back home to Greenville. But we all know that's not possible.

Now, I know the Higher Authority is the reason why you are all here, but don't let them fool you: they don't care about you. You're all just an experiment to them. A plaything.

And I don't know about all of you, but I'm going to try and figure a way out of this place.

They would do better to end the relationships right now, but far be it from me to deny you poor souls the chance at happiness, fleeting though it may be.

Honestly? I expect the ghost will be sent to the Office of the Departed, and we’ll never see that poor soul again.

Hmm, so you figure the Higher Authority is using the bonfire as a distraction? Interesting.

I doubt they’ll go to such extremes. We’ll all probably just disappear from the mortal world or something to that extent. I don’t think they want more publicity that they can’t control.

Either that, or the Higher Authority will start picking them off one by one. They don’t want their secrets getting out, right? So how could they let them live?

I suspect a clash of the supernatural origin in our future. Do you think these new humans will end up joining the ghosts? I don’t see another outcome at this juncture. 

Considering the fact that Christopher Wolfe seems to want everyone to think he has the emotional range of a teaspoon when it comes to true emotions, I highly doubt anything will come of it. Poor Hadley deserves better, in my opinion.

And what do you think is really happening, hm? I agree that I think something fishy is going on, but I love to hear conspiracy theories.

I’m kind of surprised the Higher Authority is still taking them in, in light of recent events. Or maybe things have spiraled so out of control the H.A. aren’t sure how to turn the off switch. But I get the feeling things have only just begun.
