also disclaimer, in the drawing above, I actually did trace the head+face, the body, and etc that you can obviously see so that I can replicate the artstyle more accurately...although the other drawings in this post won't be traced I assure you!

And yes before I get jumped, they are twins..... and similar to the Itabros, they have ahoges too because.....well......

whatever that is, the shape reminded me a hook so.... hook-shaped ahoge!

Anyway, here are some details about them

Starting with Ilocos Sur, he has a very bright personality(although it doesn't overflow as much as you think it would—picture a tired extrovert). This is due to him being geographically closer to La Union which I am planning to portray as a cheerful young(?) lady—and therefore also have a closer relationship with her.

his human name is "Sullivan Agbayani"

he has a pet Flame-breasted Fruit Dove, a species endemic to the mountains of Luzon which Region 1 is in

and his favourite flower is Bolilising!

some extra info: In Ilocos Sur, there is a historic city known for its well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture, coblestone streets, and a unique blend of Asian and Europe influences. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site which makes it a major tourist destination in the country. Activities that tourists look forward to are the famous horse-drawn carriages and cultural charm.

moving on to Ilocos Norte, he is exactly the type of person that seems aggressive but isn't exactly like that. While Sur is charming and kind inside and out, Norte finds himself less "naive"(this is how he would describe his brother if he locked in hard enough) compared to him—and that is something he envies.

he has a pet Amethyst Brown Dove which are also endemic to certain places including Luzon.

and his favourite flower is Thunbergia Ilocana!

I can explain his personality in a certain note I made prior to making this post so I'll just paste it here:

Main difference:

Sur is cheerful and friendlier than Norte because of La Union's influence(They are also closer friends than Norte is with La Union)

Sur is mostly carefree which is why he wears slippers unlike Norte who is more cautious(and serious)

Norte has a mole representing the Paoay Lake

facing their backs, Sur has a Sampaguita brooch on his left while Norte has one on his right. (Although a brooch placed on the left represents formality, tradition, and sentimental value or "close to the heart", regardless of the placement, both of them possess these traits in their notion.)

Sur's MASSIVE ahoge is almost always seen facing down because he is calm most of the time. Norte, however, is not.

Norte often tries to copy Sur's outgoing ["YOLO"note: ...scratch that its a bit too strong LOL] personality for many reasons such as to get La Union's attention and to look welcoming. Though, he has a hard time doing so. His arms being lower than Sur's in the drawing is there to symbolize how he can never perfectly replicate his brother.

★ Fun Fact! Did you know Ilocano became an official language due to it being the third most widely spoken native language in the Philippines? Well now you do YAYY!!!!
