I’m sitting here at the polls, trying to muster up the courage to do some interviews with people… I’ve been asking people about love, what they love about things, places, what is love? And it certainly doesn’t seem right to ask, “What do you love about voting?” I’m having thoughts more like, “Do you have any hope for democracy?” That’s what’s circling around in my mind… so many frustrations with the political system… And at this point in my life, it’s really hard to have hope. So what can I do? My latest has been I can have positive interactions with individuals. My light has been severely dimmed the last few years, and I’m working on raising my vibration and bringing back my light... Jewel • 8-4-22 • I saw Jewel about to come out of the water and scurried over to get a few shots and followed her up the beach to show her what I had gotten. Steve. March 6, 2022 • This is Eddy’s Dad, Steve. Eddy reached out to ask if I wanted to go cross country skiing with his Dad and a few of his Dad’s friends in the Boundary Waters on the Banadad Ski Trail. You can ski from Yurt to Yurt… I think it was something like 12k the first day and 19k the second… all on classic single track, so basically cruising single track through the woods… to say it was amazing is an understatement. And we stayed in Yurts! And the company that orchestrates things snowmobiles your gear to you! So, so happy Eddy reached out, and it was so great to meet his Dad and his friends. Just another Monday in N.E. Mpls. I didn’t even get her name, and had “interviewers block,” and chickened out doing a little interview with her for my @jaymehalbritter reels. But it’s been a hot minute since I have taken a photo that I posted right away. So we’ll just call this one a little bright light in an otherwise dark day. One year ago today that my Rae of sunshine left me without warning. A small acknowledgment buried in a caption with pink hair and flare. And what it year it’s been… One of the hardest of my life. I had no idea that I had so many tears inside of me. Grief is like a wound that has its own timeline for healing. I’m pretty good at being consistently inconsistent at making posts. But here’s a shot I took yesterday while taking a video. You can snap pics whilst shooting video with the iPhone and I don’t do it much, but look at this one ma! (No seriously, check it out mom… @aka @linda.b.funke) So much love from Belize! I’ve been here photographing a yoga retreat for @gypsetyogaretreats and it’s been simply amazing. Going scuba diving in about an hour and then heading to “Secret Beach” for a birthday BBQ for a new friend I just met here. Not a bad way to round out the trip before I head home tomorrow. I started doing some stories over at @jaymehalbritter as I’m here in an “official” capacity, so if you feel moved go check over there! Which might motivate me to post some more there as I’ve been too busy living life! Fascinated by these structures we found in a field driving past Polignano a Mare, Italy, on Christmas on our way to Bari where we were going to see the remains of St. Nicolas! I should really do some research on what they were used for as there were so many of them.
