Love is confusing at times. You have to let go of things that you love , because they hurt you. You have to love from a distance, when the thing/person you love does not return it. You can love the skin you were born in and with one single insult, that love can turn bitter, toxic. Love is like a rose, you can admire it while its planted, water it to keep it alive, but once you cut it, once you want to be selfish and love it with all your heart, it dies, its thorns pierce your skin and leave you bleeding. But somehow , for some weird reason , we go back and water, nurture, admire that very thing that hurt us, left us, betrayed us so bad.
