The Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.

1) Mr. King was a well known civil rights leader and activist who had great influence on American society in the 1950s and 60s.

2) His strong belief in non-violent protest set the tone for the civil rights movement.

3) He was also an American Baptist Minister.

4) He was instrumental in establishing The Southern Christian Leadership Conference in 1957, a civil rights organization that supported the philosophy of non-violence.

5)He was also famous for his “I have a dream” speech and providing leadership during the Montgomery bus boycott of 1955.

6) He was assasinated at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis Tennessee in April 4 1968.

7) Because of his great work he received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.

These are devisive and troubled times currently and his message of non-violent protest and love for ones fellow man is a message worth revisiting. We must remember that all men and women were created equal in the eyes of God.

So I am sure most everyone has seen that Tumblr has made the “smart” *sarcasm* decision to eliminate all the adult content in the next two weeks….

What else is Tumblr good for? The looseness of the social media “contender” *more sarcasm* was the main reason anyone I knew, utilized the site. Do they truly hope that by eliminating adult content, that somehow people will be more inclined to use the site? Killing off adult orientated material will lead to a death rattle previous reserved for MySpace. This was a healthy space where people could Express sexuality with anonymity. Now, with the literal thousands of adult orientated blogs gone…what is there to keep us? What revelation is going to RIP others from already established social media and encourage them to begin anew.

Tumblr, this is a poor choice and alienates many introverted people from there only outlet. This is an attack on sex workers and fetishists. This is a move that will hurt more people than you will ever get to sign up…and for what? Tumblr, do you suffer from so much tech penis envy, that you’re only move is to sell out for hopes of being able to stand next to Suckerberg at the social media urinal?

You had an area all your own. Stood out from the crowd and said “All are welcome!”…and now, you join the other sheep, sucking at the teet of the religious right.

For shame….shame on you.
