(This is an 18+ roleplaying blog for Jayce Talis from post-timeskip S1 Arcane. I write primarily with @hextech-workaholic as the Viktor to my Jayce, and write a separate storyline with @askviktor. I also interact regularly with @askskyyoung, and experiment on @the-hexcore.

I will happily interact with any other Viktors/characters/OCs, however the mun is 31 and will not interact with minors. I also write @houndunderground, and follow back from @zinzinina.

I’ve been right here the whole time, just busy.

Well, I like the idea of it. But I’d probably make just as poor a husband as I would a father to be honest with you. I can be obsessive when it comes to work, to the detriment of my relationships. Most people don’t really get it. Spending nights elbow-deep in chalk dust and partial differential equations isn’t exactly wine and roses. I wouldn’t have a clue how to break the ice on a real date unless they wanted to hear about magnetohydrodynamics and I can’t think of too many potential romantic partners who’d be interested in that.

What’s up? Haven’t seen you around lately. Is everything okay?

Hey there. I’m really sorry for the prolonged absence. Things have been…a lot, actually. Even for us. There was a fire in the lab, and we had to move everything out to a temporary space while everything was being fixed, and we’ve only just been allowed back. I want to thank the Council; replacing lab equipment isn’t cheap, and we’d be screwed without their support. It’s all replaceable, though. I’m just glad Viktor wasn’t there. Knowing him, he’d march straight into the flames to recover our work with zero regard for his lungs.

Thank you, though, for your concern. We’re all okay, and hoping to make it to the Academy’s Scientific Immersion Symposium in a few weeks as guest speakers.

Metalworking has always been a hobby even outside of Hextech. I designed my mom’s prosthetics and I’ve reworked Viktor’s brace and crutch a few times, just tweaking things to try to perfect them. There’s something meditative about working with my hands. Metal’s predictable when it reaches a certain heat. It’s comforting to have something malleable like that; doing exactly what I want it to. I like being able to feel the burn in my body when I’m working with heavier pieces, on my own, without any distractions. I go a little stir-crazy if I don’t get to do it for too long. Right now I’m working on a mechanized frame with some pins and brackets for Viktor’s desk so he can adjust the height from sitting to standing.

Mamá, I’m sorry. It’s been crazy here. We haven’t even had time to think. Did you get the earrings I sent over? I was gonna make you something myself but Mel said the designer was a big deal; I thought they’d go nice with your brooch.

Viktor’s doctors. They have no idea what they’re talking about. And I didn’t appreciate their tone when they said his health was “as expected” for someone “from his background.” Like it didn’t matter, and it was just a given, and not their job to fix.
