I change shapes just to hide in this place.

I think it is the weather. Usually those on spring break ditch this city for somewhere else, but who knows with them these days. Maybe it is the new trend to stay in the city. 

I can’t even remember what I thought was cool as a kid. I’m sure staying here isn’t their idea of fun though. 

So that’s why my nickname is Nerd. Well now it all makes sense.

I’m glad we agree on that. They’re not a very pleasant bunch. If you enjoy what you do, then that’s all that matters. That makes it much easier to wake up in the morning. I take it that it’s a pretty long list? I generally try to maintain control. I drink all the time, but I pace myself. I do let loose, just in other ways.

It’s an amazingly long list. I hope to finish it one day, but that day is not soon. Maintain control sounds like quite a sheltered and calculated way to live. If you’re not somehow on a bar-table by the end of the night singing your lungs out, you’re wrong. What are these other ways?

The city is most likely still on a sugar high or the idea of spring being so near has made them want to stop hibernating. 

The warmth is thawing them out? I like the idea of that. I was guessing some of the kids were out on spring break and tearing up the city.

Don’t know, just seems like I’m too young still to be a mister. Your answer isn’t any less vague darling. Kind of. I was uhm, otherwise engaged for awhile but I’ve basically lived here my whole life.

All right. You’ve got yourself a deal. Though, now you’ve said that, if you happen to miss your quota and I end up on a chocolate-deprived rage spree, that’s on your head.

You don’t have to apologize. It’s okay. Whilst I might not understand life’s hardships, I can certainly relate to being touchy. We all have our days. Deprive me of chocolate for a few, and you’ll look positively angelic in comparison.

How about I promise to make sure you’re always stalked with chocolate so long as you promise to hit me when I’m being particularly cranky.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it’s always the case. I’ve lived here long enough to pick up on the patterns, though. This is one of them.

Great!  I promise you all the questions you can handle and then some.  Really?  I’ve never really thought of that.  Is that something you’ve noticed over time?  My mom used to make them too.  She’d buy bananas specific just to let them ripen up just right.  Of course you do, they’re delicious.  But food does that to you.  It’s a very individual and intimate experience.  

Yeah, it’s something I’ve picked up on. People lmost always want to be understood so they show themselves in the smallest of things they do. Was your mom as good as yours though? That’s the question. 

If you find a girl that actually likes a bad boy, you’ll need to stay as far away from her—or maybe you like crazy.  Who am I to judge?

Oh, we’re all crazy. Hasn’t anyone told you that? You think you’re normal and then you wake up one day and look back on the night before and realize you’re as fucked up as the rest of them. 

I can find it a bit ridiculous at times, but I suppose we should let them have their fun.

That’s my general way of thinking. Everyone had their vices and virtues.
