if you are a binary trans person you have binary privilege.  non-binary trans people do not have the same trans experiences as you.

How does the vague idea of not having the same experience have to do with privilege? At worst what “binary” trans people can do would be horizontal aggression. But what I do not get is how you can default anything to “privilege”, as if what? Trans women are your oppressors? If I made the statement “non-binary people have privilege over trans women”, how is that any different than this concept having any lack of depth to it? I am trying to figure out what binary privilege is, but it honestly just sounds like it’s trying to group trans women with men, having the same privileges as a specific group of men. That is what this specific categorisation implies.

I think that this is just a badly worded way of saying that binary trans people are more widely accepted as their genders than nonbinary trans people. This is not to say that some people don’t accept any trans people. And while some nonbinary people have been harassed by binary trans people, you are not our oppressors because of the fact that systematic oppression does not happen with binary trans people and nonbinary trans people. I might just be reading it wrong though. 😄

please report this blog to tumblr for hateful/abusive speech.  i’ve already done it and followed up twice when they said they were “looking into it” but i have a feeling nothing will be done unless we make a big stink about it.
