Ourshot โ Canadaโs COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign.
Client Name: School Project. Date completed: November 11th, 2021. Your Role: Art Director, Designer.
Project description
According to Health Canada, the cumulative percentage of people fully vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine was 71% as of October 2nd, 2021.
The reason for this is that many holdouts say theyโre concerned about the safety and side effects.
As a result, I built the Ourshot campaign, which has three main missions:
Provide trusty and valuable information on the COVID-19 vaccine;
Encourage hesitance to get the vaccine;
Transform data and numbers into easily digestible information.
Research and Analysis
Did research and analyzed data about the COVID-19 situation in Canada.
Try to understand the holdoutโs issue.
Politely asking people who have relatives or friends is hesitance.
Research about the myths about COVID-19 Vaccine, specifically on social media.
Look for campaigns that have similar issues.
What the government has done?
Design Process
Research & Ideation: Understand and empathize with the hesitant struggle.
Brainstorm & Exploration: Make a list and try out what element works to pursue the goal of the campaign.
Create a visual identity of the project.
Design: Start creating visual graphic materials.Feedback and revision.
Design Solution and Deliverables
A visual representation can connect people, as a person who is living and contributing to Canada: Logo and theme.
A Series of posters help catch the audienceโs attention.
A series of carousels used for social media: An effective way to approach the nowaday audience.
A syringe prototype โ Something fun that people can learn and play with.
A mobile app โ Handy and always ready when you need it.
Special Circumstances
The difference in culture, barrier in language.
Most of the holdouts are elders or people who circled themselves with misinformation about the vaccine.
What I did:
An enormous amount of research.
Avoid the tedious traditional data supply method.
Create a campaign that is visually attractive, playful and friendly.
