40% is mildly entertaining reading (comparable to something like Twilight, i.e entertaining but not particularly enlightening nor valuable), for example Avenging Son or Indomitus. The other half of Horus Heresy repertoire fits here.

10% is actually interesting and valuable literature, even to a non-40k reader, with particular gems like The Infinite and the Divine or the Eisenhorn Trilogy, or even some Ciaphas Cain novels or Twice-Dead King; generally stuff written by Dan Abnett, Chris Wraight or Robert Rath. Really, only the first books of the Horus Heresy fit here.

TLDR: Black Library books can be best compared to McDonalds - it's not great eating but it can be tasty, and occasionally (but rarely) you might find a roll of cash on the bottom of your fries carton

Space Marine books are rarely ever anything else besides "big man shoot space gun", the literary equivalent of a sloppy action movie you can enjoy with friends while drunk if its well made enough, because that's what they think the audience wants. It is rare for one of these books to ever gain any sort of recognition or fandom relevance.

Ork books meanwhile are the same, but they can give it a new spin through the perspective of the Orks, which makes it hillarious. In a way you could consider Ork-books some sort of meta-analysis of the setting from the view of someone who barely gives a shit about most things commonly seen as important, but is instead heavily invested in their own little perspective. It is weirdly grounding.

For the time being it is TOGGLEABLE and you can TURN IT OFF!

However, we do not know if Twitch will force this to be on at all times like some other platforms, like X/Twitter, have previously done.

And then scroll all the way down near the bottom.

There you'll find the "Training for Generative Ai" setting, toggle it to OFF!

Be sure to keep sending messages to Twitch that you do NOT want this to exist.
