A Day in My Life as a Tourism Student
Hi, I am Janice, a third-year tourism student. Every day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and move closer to my dreams, and I try to make the most of it. My mornings usually start with getting ready for the day. I prepare my uniform, take care of my skin, and apply makeup, which is always my favorite part. Beginning the day by caring for myself helps set a positive mood for the rest of the day. I also keep my room and house tidy so I can return to a peaceful space.
Being a tourism student is exciting because it is more than just academics. It is about exploring cultures, discovering new places, and planning trips and experiences that people will enjoy and remember. I try to stay curious and learn from everything around me, not just my classes. Even small opportunities to explore are valuable.
After school, I go over my responsibilities and homework. Sometimes I forget or feel tired, but I make sure to rest or recharge by watching a favorite movie or talking to someone who makes me feel lighter. I do not feel guilty about taking breaks because they help me stay focused and productive later. Some evenings I cook dinner for my family. Once my duties are done, I set aside some personal time, which helps me end the day peacefully.
This is my usual routine, but it is not the same every day. Some days are unproductive, and that is okay. Every day counts, and as long as I show up and do my best, it is still progress.
