mac and charlie got a good thing goin'- or, at least, they did. until charlie gets fed up with the ambiguity and confusion, and decides to leave his old life behind. mac's never been without charlie for this long, and he realises that he would very much like him back.

but its actually super annoying that they retconned Charlie and Dee’s relationship like that in s13

because where before there was room for ‘maybe they’re secretly dating?’ or ‘maybe charlie’s actually been in love with dee for a while’ etc etc

now its just: she raped him. 

and then suddenly anything that prev. implied that they could potentially end up together, any cute moments they had over 13 seasons, any time they paired up, literally any of their countless shenanigans, are now dirtied by she raped him

and the whole ‘it’s to remind us that they’re all terrible people’ is so stupid

because we know they’re terrible people, but why did they have to take something that has been building up from season 1….and take it that far?

and its not even like, something that was implied prev. or even related to the s10 kiss

it was literally created for that episode? something off-camera was placed and ruined 13 seasons of 2 people who even without romantic undertones, were funny as heck together in literally all their scenes as a pair!!

and like i wasn’t even like ooh my otp!!! or expecting them to be a fulltime couple on the show or anything

this show isn’t about ships, it never has been and never will be
